Not really..... there are more high schools that haven't had a 4 star TE than high schools that have had 1

The guys that Rodney asks for their evaluations look at LOTS of film of top recruits. He's seen lots of top TE prospects over the years. We're not just talking about guys he's seen at the Alabama 3A level or something like that.

I agree about Edwards. Just watched his Hudl video. I’m not sure how fast he is, but he’s pretty quick and agile for a big guy and he looks like he can jump and catch the football too. He’s gonna be a problem

I wondered the same thing about Gene Chizik... except he was a two year head coach with a 5-19 record while Deboer is undefeated vs Lanning, Sark and Riley and most recently competed for a national championship...
That's the problem with a lot of these Auburn fans. They set themselves up for serious disappointment. They managed to convince themselves that the most storied program in history would sink to Vanderbilt like levels following the departure of the GOAT. Now that we seemingly haven't skipped a beat, they're melting and are coming up with every illogical reason under the sun rather than just accepting the fact that big brother is a powerhouse program that is a prime destination for student athletes. They were way too spoiled by the Shula era which was due in large part to scholarship limitations and injuries to every key player each season (yet Shula, a guy with ZERO head coaching experience, had his teams in nearly every game).

I just watched Derek Meadows' Junior highlights.
He only caught 15 passes last season.
8 of them were for a touchdown.

He’s a talented kid. Could be a monster. Seems like he’s tailor made for DeBoer’s offense. Kind of TE/WR hybrid. Can he block, though? Didn’t see a single play when he did. Highlights I know. I’m sure he’ll be fine. Just an observation.
