Who was GREAT on that staff? If they were great, Michigan wouldn't have walked down the field on us for the tying score. And then scored in TWO plays in OT. Nothing was GREAT about that staff.

While Saban definitely had an eye for talent, he himself admitted that he was having trouble convincing coaches to come to UA due to his age. He had BoB and Golding on the staff... were they elite? He missed on Grubb...
We have had some phenomenal coaches on the staff, but we've had some duds too. Let's not act like every coach is worthy of retention just because Saban hired them in the past.
I definitely miss the days of Bo Davis, Pruitt, Kiffin, Sark, etc... Saban's early staffs were stacked

No we tried hiring the cook and then telling him what ingredients to use after Bear. Didn't work. We hired DeBore, he's a winner, he will assemble the staff and the team and we will move forward. I'm sure we all want to win in 2024 but it's more important to put the program back in solid ground for the next decade.
We are also the lightning rod for trouble right now while the rest of college football points and laughs but Saban's not the last coach to leave his post, more are coming and all hell's gonna break loose there as well, maybe not as bad as us but they will all have trouble. and for every player they take from us they will be stabbing another kid in the back that they said they would take care of and leaving him on the street.
DeBore's the kind of coach who will take that lost soul and proceed to hammer them with his revenge.

He may have been trying unsuccessfully to hire Washington's WR coach to replace Holman Wiggins, too.

Thanks, I don't intend to rub people wrong but I used to play ball have a bit of aggressiveness and don't back down.
I will admit I can be a dick though. Even though that isn't my intention.
I really want CKD to succeed. I'm just not liking this start and it looks bad. I have experienced a coaching change in college and that shite rattled the entire program. The most important thing was consistency and I just feel CKD drooped the ball big time
Then on top of that we aren't don't seem to be doing much but making it worse.
Again, my apologies because I know most here don't agree and don't like a differing opinion.

Honestly, this board has no issues with diverse perspectives. In fact, I think this board is quite welcoming or else we would have a shite ton of people banned.
What this board and others have a problem with is...
- People talking out their arse and melting in every thread.
- Know-it-alls
- People who take this board or Alabama sports too seriously.
- People who act like dicks and then say they are being "attacked by the mob".
If you are a poster and you hit three of these buckets.... It's probably, you. It isn't the board.

Everyone is entitled to melt occasionally. But he does it constantly, and state most of his assumptions as 100% fact. This board has plenty of diverse opinions, and he has found a way to make everyone hate him. That speaks more to him, than the 'bullying' of the board.

Horse fricking shite. Every MF on here has complained about Sabans inability to hire quality coaches for the last three years. Bob, Goulding, Reese the position coaches and now we find out Steele was too old to carry the load as DC but DrBoer should have retained a staff that wasn’t developing the talent that was here. Underperforming has been a staple of Alabama coaching for three damn years. Some of y’all are either too emotional or too stupid to reason with.
