For whoever asked a couple pages back, I haven't heard anything new on Jeffery Carter. Just that his dad is all about Bama. Haven't seen anything since his visit from anyone that I follow, though.

It was me that asked. Thanks, bro.

Seems like we are holding of toto to see what Dean does?
Posted on 11/14/18 at 5:18 am to seanpendleton10
Everything I've seen says Bama wants Dean and To'oto'o both, in addition to Shane Lee. Otherwise, we'll be too thin at ILB -- it's a top priority. ILB is an injury prone position, so having quality depth there is very important.

Just did a class calculator with the updated rankings.
Did you use 247's rankings or the Composite for this? I don't think the Composite updated yesterday with the lastest 247 rankings. It should be finalized today.

“I think he flips to Alabama. That’s everything I’ve heard. A lot of people think it’s already a done deal that he’s going to do that. I don’t think it’s advantageous. Both programs are great. Both programs would probably use him the same way and he’s going to be successful no matter what.

Yeah, if Mack goes pro we will only bring back Moses, Kaho, Benton, and McMillan (who may also transfer) from this year's team. Allen had been crosstraining at ILB so that's also a possibility, but that depth chart is not pretty regardless. ILB and DL were huge needs in this class and if we finish with Sopsher, Bogle, Dean, and To'oto'o we will have hit a HR on both.

Thompson QB Taulia Tagovailoa reconfirms his commitment to Alabama (video in link)
quote:
BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - Thompson quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa reconfirms his commitment to the Alabama Crimson Tide after taking an official visit to LSU two weeks ago. “Everything is the same right now. Coach O, I had fun over there, but I feel like Alabama is still the place for me right now and if there is any change, that’s something me and my family have to talk about,” the senior quarterback said Tuesday afternoon.
Taulia, who is the younger brother to Tide quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, committed to Alabama in April during the Tide’s spring A-Day game. Taulia will graduate early in December.

I am and as a Devil Dog we all went slumming at some point. Part of the code. Just beware what country you are in and hope you do not catch something.

Hagan on King this am:
Starts with a good bit of debbie downer shite (FYI):
Tua still dealing with knee sprain and has a really bad quad bruise. Jalen will not play until AU (I would be shocked if he played then with the way he's moving).
Disappointed a bit with Mac's performance against MS St. He said he's seen Mac a good bit in practice and he's much better than he looked Saturday.
Brown has a severe turf toe. Looks to probably be back for SEC Championship game but will deal with the toe until the spring.
He's doesn't think Lewis would be back before the playoffs and thinks there's a good chance he doesn't play then. Said he thought Lewis and Allen were the two best pass rushers they had coming into the season (he's said this about Allen before - I heard good things about Allen but not to this degree).
Locksley has had a great season but didn't do Tua any favors in the second half. Would be surprised if he ended back at Maryland (some bad blood there). Said he hopes Locksley is back next year, but if not he expected our next OC to be Enos.
Oklahoma might make a run at Golding.
Defensive staff is focused this week on preventing another tin horn game.
Recruiting news was a bit more upbeat:
He would be surprised if the following three are not part of this class:
1. Neal
2. Bogle
3. Sopsher
Believes we are out in front for Dean.
Believes Battle and Carter could both flip (I would think we only take one of the two but that's just a guess (they play different positions (though Battle is a bit of a hybrid) so maybe it will just come down to who else we land/priorities).

Star gazers want to know, with all of these possibilities, is anybody going to be processed from the class?

Probably.
The real question is who is it going to be?

Well the recruiting news is great but the injury bug is depressing. With Tua the bruise will heal in time but the knee....im not going to beat a dead horse but the SEC title game worries me with him being limited
