What a waste of talent! I remember how bad I wanted us to get him and how close he was to actually committing to us.

what is the possibility that uga overtakes Bama for #1 recruiting class?

It really doesn't matter. Both classes are elite, but I wouldn't trade ours for theirs, that's for sure. If we land Sopsher and Toto plus one other player---it will be essentially impossible to pass us. If we miss on those guys it will open the door for UGA to pass us if they close strong in February. I like our odds.

If we can take 29, I think the goal is to sign our three commits Robinson, Young & Williams and add Sopsher, To'oto'o & Bogle.

When Saban said that "we need 4 scholarship QB's and 5 would be ok"
I wonder who is included in that tally
1 Tua
2 Tyson
3 Lia
4 Jones
5 Jalen or Hatcher

Wonder what Braxton Barker has on his mind after wasting a year at Bama and doesnt seem to even get mentioned as a QB. Wouldn't think he would like to sit on the bench for 3 years and Grad transfer having not shown his talents. Would not be surprised to see him move on soon.
If Jalen transfers, would think Mac would get lots of PT in 19 and that may keep him around, especially if he shows out in the A day game again.

Expect the QB room will need a revolving door in the next few seasons, Lia and Tyson will both be wanting PT, and then in comes Beck Great problem to have I guess, rather have too many every year than no back up

Yep. I got four downvotes on here once in a thread asking everyone's prior occupations when I said I was a retired Marine. Who downvotes that? I don't even sweat the downbotes.

Probably just assumed you would break the thread somehow. GD jarheads, always ducking up a good thing.

Well, he is a 5-11, 175 lb walk-on with zero collegiate offers out of high school (to my knowledge). I doubt he will be playing anywhere.

current roster shows he is still growing, up to 6'1" and 195. Maybe he can create some good scout team reps next year? or find room at a lesser than school (esp if Enos has shined him up any)

Maybe Hatcher will transfer if he can get a scholarship somewhere where he'll have a chance of playing.

You are FAR overestimating his talent. He probably could have cracked a D2 or D3 starting lineup at some point in his career, but at this point, he seems to be happy just to be with the team at Bama.

Braxton Barker knew coming in he was unlikely to ever play. He wasn't even rated by recruiting services.

The fifth guy would be Jalen. Hatcher isn’t on scholly and probably would only get one if a spot opened up late over the summer. Even then there are probably other guys that have been around longer that Saban would reward.

Barker isn’t thinking anything. He walked on at Bama fully knowing the situation. He could’ve gone somewhere small and maybe gotten ok thr fiekd. But to think he’s feeling slighted would be an insult to his intelligence.

Could be completely wrong, but I think I read somewhere that you have to complete two years before a walk-on can go on scholarship (NCAA rule).

That sort of makes sense, and in 2 years of Enos coaching, Hatcher would be fairly coached up and if no room in the Bama QB room, there should be plenty of schools that would have interest. Win-Win

Jackson Bratton Junior highlights
This hard nosed gym rat has nice closing speed and looks like he brings his lunch pail. Solid highlights
