LINK ]By the Numbers: Lone Star State, SEC dominate Early Signing Period (Rivals)
quote:
Only the second ever Early Signing Period has come and gone. There were some significant changes and there is a lot to continue to build on. Take a look at how things played out this year in this version of By The Numbers.
1,177 - Prospects that signed with a Power Five program or Notre Dame
A very large chunk of the next class of college freshmen signed in the Early Signing Period. On it’s face, the number itself doesn’t mean much but it becomes pretty significant when you consider how many prospects signed with these programs in the last recruiting cycle. In the 2018 recruiting class, about 1,400 prospects signed with the Power Five programs or Notre Dame. That means about 80-percent of the total prospects in this year’s class have already signed, significantly decreasing the pool of available talent leading up to Signing Day in February.
208 - Rivals250 prospects that signed with a Power Five program or Notre Dame
More than 80-percent of the Rivals250 has already signed with their future team. That leaves very few highly-ranked prospects left for programs to fight over. Nineteen of those remaining unsigned Rivals250 prospects are still verbally committed, while just 23 Rivals250 standouts remain undecided. Some players however have opted to sign with their future teams but are delaying the announcement for various reasons so these numbers could be slightly different.
141 - Prospects from Texas that signed with a Power Five program or Notre Dame
The state of Texas is far and away the leader when it comes to prospects that have signed with a Power Five program. Florida, California, and Georgia follow the Lone Star State in this category. The state of North Carolina has the fifth-most here but the fourth place team, Georgia, has more than double North Carolina’s Power Five signees.
83 - Unsigned prospects ranked at least four-stars
Of the 424 prospects ranked at least four-stars there are only 83 left that are unsigned, and 20 of those are Rivals100 prospects. Seven five-star prospects remain undecided but that number is a bit misleading because a few of them may have already signed and will be announcing their decisions at all-star games in January.
277 - Prospects that signed with SEC programs
It doesn’t come as a huge surprise that the SEC signed the most prospects in the Early Signing Period. Twenty-two more prospects ended up signing with the SEC then the Big Ten. The ACC is close behind the Big Ten, while the Pac-12 and Big 12 are much further back.

Can the mods not see who it is downvoting?
If you have a premium account you can see who is up/downvoting.
However, its in your agreement with the site not to share that information. It makes it easier to know who the trolls are because they upvote their own post with the same three accounts over and over in an attempt to control the narrative.
Sad.
Don't ask anymore about the premium account. They will approach you with the opportunity if your posting is up to snuff. I got mine with my second thread that topped 200 replies. Maybe that is the criteria... I have no idea.

We got some real dickheads here. Just wanted to say that. Downvote that too you cock sucker.
Everything I post gets at least one downvote. I've hurt a lot of people's feelings about Hurts over the past three years. That, and I think some lurkers just randomly downvote shite. Don't pay any attention to it.

Yep. I got four downvotes on here once in a thread asking everyone's prior occupations when I said I was a retired Marine. Who downvotes that? I don't even sweat the downbotes.

Same here... I don’t pay any attention to the upvotes/ downvotes. I’ve upvoted a few times but really never downvote anyone no matter how terrible they are.
It’s anonymous enough that we’re on the internet... so just be who you are

since you have a premium acct and
"If you have a premium account you can see who is up/downvoting."
Can't you call out a serial downvoter?
But like several have mentioned, I dont pay any attention to the ups or downs. not like anyone is running for king of the thread

I agree, Powhound needs to sniff out the down voter. He is running for mod of the people

You guys don't let the downvote bandit get under your skin.

It doesn't bother me. Like I said, if I don't get a down vote, I feel like I've done something wrong

Never understood the need for the stupid arse up and down voting arrows. I couldn't give a shite less about it. It just takes up screen space. Not worth a damn.

what is the possibility that uga overtakes Bama for #1 recruiting class?
Currently uga has 22 (rivals 3 5* 2 3* 1 2* for 2905) and (247 5 5* 3 3* for 298.73 avg .9322)
Bama has 26 (rivals 3 5* and 3 3* for 2958) and (247 3 5* and 1 3* for 312.24 avg .9404)
of course 3 are committed and not signed: Young (many pushing to flip) Robinson (may flip to Maryland?) Williams (no one seems to know what is up) then seems most see adding some combo of 5* Sopsher, 4* Pickering, 4* To'oto'o, 4* Bogle, 4* Lee, possibly 5* Wright and 4* Pickens
uga seems to still have steam with 5* Haselwood and who knows how many more seem to have room for at least 3 (not sure how many slots actually available)
Would 3 more 5*s and Bama standing pat be enough to over take the lead for #1?
Who else would sign with either?
What impact would a Sugar Bowl loss have on NSD?
Same question when Bama wins 18.
