Yes. I caught an interview with Beck himself the week he committed, and he said the staff told him he was the first QB prospect that the entire staff had agreed on as their no.1 target at that position ever. Ever.
That was what grabbed my attention the most when he committed. Never heard that before.

2. DT Ishmael Sopsher — Undecided
![]()
Measurables: 6-foot-3.5, 334 pounds
247Sports Composite: 5-star (0.9946), No. 9 overall prospect, No. 1 DT
Evaluation: Densely built defender with a powerful lower-half and a thick upper-half who brings mass without a lot of bad weight. Has natural strength and punch and uses his hands effectively when he wants to. Can flash suddenness and get-off for a bigger defender and has demonstrated instances of good lateral quickness. Two-gap ability.
Overpowering on the high school level. A high school defensive end that has been extremely productive and has an above average motor. Wins with size in high school and will need to develop a more well-rounded game for the next level including ability to retrace, change directions and play with consistent pad level and technique.
May be close to his ceiling physically. Impact high level Power Five defender potential early round NFL Draft pick.
NFL Draft projection: 2-3 round
Player comparison: John Jenkins, New York Giants
5-star DT Ishmael Sopsher 6-4/330 LA hudl

8. ATH Devonta Lee — Undecided
![]()
Measurables: 6-foot-2, 212 pounds
247Sports Composite: 4-star (0.9428), No. 130 overall prospect, No. 6 ATH
Evaluation: Lee is a physical, aggressive wide receiver. He has a great body and frame for a high school receiver and he could draw some attention as an H-Back or flex-out tight end due to his size and skill-set too.
He has shown he will fight for the football and he will go up in coverage and make the tough catches. He can catch the ball across the middle or down the field. His route running needs improvement and he can improve his speed and explosiveness as well.
He is an athlete who also plays basketball, so he has very good coordination and he will be one of the best in the state of Louisiana for 2019.

10. LB Christian Harris — Alabama (signed)

Measurables: 6-foot-1.5, 239 pounds
247Sports Composite: 4-star (0.9386), No. 145 overall recruit, No. 9 ILB
Why Harris flipped from Texas A&M: “I never played linebacker before, so I’m really just trying to put myself in the best position,” he said of what went into the decision. “It’s the right decision for me. That’s really all it is. I respect A&M and I like what they have going on, but I just feel like for my future that Alabama will put me in the best position.”

Sort of funny by 247 regarding Sopsher. I remember reading the reason they only had 32 5 stars each year was it was based on who they thought would be projected 1st round draft picks but yet they have him ranked #9 and saying he will go 2nd-3rd round in the draft.

The rating system can be a joke sometimes and where they are projected in the NFL is a freaking joke... they haven't even practiced in college yet... I'm glad they can't skip straight to the NFL

Dude from BOL took this picture with Chris Braswell, Darrian Dalcourt and Shane Lee at last night's game:

I just saw Florida got another CB for 5-star California corner Chris Steele.
I wonder why we haven't tried to get in more on him. He has prototypical size for a CB at 6'1.5" and 190 pounds.

Lee looks like he plays LB for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Have we had a west coast DB under Saban? I know we were close with Warren G's kid and Taylor-Stuart I think. Steele camped here last year and we made his top 14
. He also committed and decommitted to USC and UCLA. Probably just wasn't a good fit for either party. I worry about Cali WRs and DBs anyway. I feel like half of them now quit football to start music industry and youtube careers.
He made a terrible mistake not referring to his highlight tape as the Steele Dossier.

We got some real dickheads here. Just wanted to say that. Downvote that too you cock sucker.

Don’t take it personal man. It’s not necessarily someone that disagrees. There is someone that downvotes post for no reason. We think it’s a fan from another team.

They downvote the most random shite. Like a post can have nothing but honest intentions that nobody could really fathom why it would be downvoted and yet...there it is lol
Like how salty is this person to downvote something as harmless as asking how some guys performed in a game this weekend?

I think it's multiple posters and some are "Bama fans".
I think it's hilarious and I think you haven't arrived on this forum till you got them so butthurt they feel the need to downvote most if not everything you post.

Can the mods not see who it is downvoting?

I never even notice the downvotes and up votes really. I feel like if I post something it's important to me I don't give a damn who else agrees or not... lol
