Can anyone confirm whether our staff's Twitter presence has been sufficient today?

Because UGA is still the flagship land grant university of the state and STEM fields are a big deal in terms of grant money. Plan for a while was for UGA to offer Engineering alternatives to Tech’s ultra competitive programs and a med school program (but the latter has been killed off by other public med programs defending their interest at the political level). Like most guys who want to major in a STEM field, he can have his shot at it, realize how hard it is, and either push to make it work or go a different direction. Right thing to do is to let the young adult make the decision, though, not tell him don’t even bother.

Yea I was about to answer that - in addition to that there just aren't very many engineering programs in the state compared to the demand/# of students.
There was a definite need for another engineering school. Southern Poly getting absorbed into Kennesaw also presented a big opening for a 2nd known engineering school.

I don't know how those guys do it playing for major D1 program like Bama or UGA. I know I couldn't do it.
