We're going to have like 78 guys on scholarship this fall. Our dominance has become so extreme that Saban is voluntarily handicapping us.

While anybody saying "stars don't matter" is a total dope, it is wild to look back on that GOAT 2008 recruiting class and see who the busts were and who the great players were.

2 of our top 4 players were total busts and 3 of the top 4 were not stars at all.
And that was by far our highest "bust" rate for 5-stars. We are really, really consistent on those guys turning into really good players.

Mark it down, Saban will sign 80-90% of the 2019 class in December. He learned from this year as did many others. That was a complete surprise to most, even the experts.
