It was always going to be difficult for the Tide to land an elite quarterback in the 2018 class. Heading into the season, Jalen Hurts was the reigning SEC Offensive Player of the Year and the team signed the nation’s No. 1 dual-threat prospect in Tua Tagovailoa and 4-star prospect Mac Jones. The depth in Tuscaloosa would suggest that any 2018 quarterback won’t play for a few years.

And now that Tagovailoa showed what he can do in the National Championship Game, it’s something that Purdy is looking at when he considers Alabama.

“It’s definitely important to think about when I’ll play if I go there,” Purdy said. “I’m a competitor and I would go there and do my job and do whatever it is they ask me to do. We’ll see what happens there. His play as a true freshman was amazing. All props to him. But I just need to take my visit and get a feel for the place first.”

It’s possible and likely that by the end of next weekend, though, Alabama will have its 2018 quarterback in place.

“I hope to not make my decision by Signing Day, but it might happen that way,” Purdy said. “If I go to the right school and feel like that place is home on one of my visits, then I’ll probably commit then.”

All Pruitt needed to do was tell these kids mom's about the racist incident with that sorority girl..

Not that I'd believe he'd do that though.

Some sorority girl posted a video on twitter of her using some pretty nasty slurs. She was called out for it and doubled down and posted another one. Someone captured them before she deleted and then the University caught wind of them.

When she doubled down with her soro sisters in the video, that pretty much raised a flag for me.

really bad situation all around, but the guy who posted them posted something like "well, now her life is over once these videos get out " (laughing emojis were theirs, not mine)

What she did was moronic and reflects ignorance and hatred in her heart, but instead of focusing on ruining her life, I'd rather see people try to change her heart. This will straight up ruin her life. She may be booted from school, definitely will be booted from her sorority. Her parents will likely bring her back home.

This is the type of thing that could drive her to depression or worse. I'm NOT defending her actions. They were despicable. I am saying I wish society would focus more on giving love and driving change instead of focusing on all these "gotcha" opportunities.

Idiotic rants like this last forever now. You can't say her life will forever be ruined, but she will have to pay for her ignorance in at least the short term.

It still floors me that people think they can get away with these types of things in a social media age.

I was at UA at the dawn of the social media age. I still remember getting Facebook in its infancy. A few sorority girls posted images of them doing illegal drugs on Facebook. The University tracked it down pretty easily.

When you double down like that?

Systematic.

Either her family or her sorority shares that rationale and had enabled it.

Pruitt is a good recruiter so I figured he would take a few kids from us, we will have a downcyear in recruiting but that still will be a top 5. Next year is back to business as usual

Probably both. It’s disgusting for sure. I’m just saying that in light of the WSU QB taking his own life, perhaps as society we shouldn’t put the weight and force of the world on her shoulders over her ignorance. She’s definitely getting booted from sorority bc even tho they likely share her views, they have to distance themselves from her. She may get booted from school.

So her world is going to be upside down soon and she’s going to be slammed with hate in return for her hate. People want a pound of flesh and I just pray she doesn’t do something that can’t be undone. I’d rather this story have an ending where she turns her life around and has a positive impact on race relations. In order for that to happen she has to do a ton, but society and those she’s offended will have to extend her a level of grace she’s not shown others.

I don't think you can blame her family or sorority for her ignorance.

Need some recruiting news as I will be stuck at the house with the kids for probably the few days. Already have 12 inches of snow and still coming down. Not suppose to stop until around 9pm tonight.
