That would be pretty fantastic, but I highly doubt it.
I mean, it's a slippery slope if the NCAA allows this to slide. What's to stop Tosh Lupoi from having a shitty garage band rename themselves "Marvin Wilson sign with Alabama" for a day and then post their videos on twitter?

It all comes down to Tosh Lupoi. If he's at Bama, Najee will be as well.

avon Kinlaw has Alabama in top 3
I don't expect him to pick USC, but he does have a really great relationship with our Dline Coach.

Don't be ridiculous, that would be an awesome garage band.

Think they want Kinlaw, but Solomon and Ray are our top two. If they can find room for a 3rd, he would be a great take (or Byers doesn't qualify, which is very possible). Might also be a take if we miss on an elite DB (Bama not taking just anyone) or we don't take two more WR's (hearing 1 or 2, depending on the site)

After missing out on the top DTs last cycle and Hulk not coming, we really, really need Solomon badly. I don't think playing time will be an issue because he'd definitely be in heavy rotation as a true freshman. If we can get him and Ray that would be a nice haul shoring up our front 7

It's that new sound we've been looking for.

Surely, Georgia wouldn't mind Rico transferring and playing right away

He would have to sit out a year.

Why?? Rules apparently don't matter. There were rules against graduate transfers going to other SEC schools at one time

From Steve Wiltfong:

I certainly didn’t expect to get to a point where I thought Michigan had a chance to flip long-time Alabama commit and the nation’s No. 1 recruit per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite in Najee Harris.
But I’m getting there now.
That’s not a prediction that the Wolverines will pull off the greatest heist in the 2017 recruiting cycle, yet it could become a reality.
It’s undoubtedly very difficult to flip a prospect from Nick Saban and company when it’s a young man they truly want to sign, but follow the visits and you see why there’s more than hope in Ann Arbor.
It’s been a genius recruitment by Jim Harbaugh and his staff to get it to this juncture for the five-star Harris, who has been a verbal to the Crimson Tide since April of 2015.
Harbaugh and boys in the Maize and Blue have done everything they can to be in this position. Among the highlights include...
Harbaugh made a visit very early in the process to see Harris at his school.
This summer Michigan hosted a satellite camp at Antioch (Calif.) High, where Harris rushed for 7,948 yards and 94 touchdowns during his prep career to get more time around him.
With his trainer working the event, Harris also attended the Wolverines satellite camp in Utah to get even more time around Harbaugh, Tyrone Wheatley and the others.
Harris then attended the Barbecue at the Big House in the summer with his mother and some coaches. That was certainly a positive experience.
This past weekend Harris and his mother returned along with an uncle in giving Michigan his final visit, taking an official to A2 where he was surrounded by just about all of the Wolverines commits and a couple more top targets including five-star receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones. Harris has a feel for all the people he'll be around if he chose Michigan.
With that, Michigan has given Harris plenty to ponder and one source said Wednesday he doesn’t think the U.S. Army All-American is sure of his final decision.
Cal and UCLA got official visits from Harris who took his last trip to Tuscaloosa over Thanksgiving weekend for the Iron Bowl. Harris also attended Alabama’s camp during the summer and his close relationship with Tosh Lupoi has certainly benefitted the defending National Champs.
An early enrollee that will start the next chapter of his journey somewhere in January, it could be interesting these next few weeks for Harris, Alabama and Michigan.

We need to pay Tosh more if he is considering leaving. He has been a top recruiter everywhere he has been.

Michigan fans truly think they have Najee...

Yes this is getting way closer than we thought possible. Momentum seems to be with Harbaugh. He is very highly regarded in the Bay Area and has connections there since high school. Think one of the main factors is the Michigan's presence of a large wealthy Alumni group in San Francisco metro area; we dont have a great alumni footprint there.
Still hoping Najee will keep his word.

According to them he's not even a verbal commit to Bama anymore
