Well damn. Hope he sticks, but I won't melt if he doesn't.

I want Harris in this class but I will not melt as we will be find next year but the year after we better that Jacobs, Emmons and Robinson can live up to their potential.

If he flips to UM it is because he thinks he has a definite path to the field next year at UM where it is not that clear at UA. This is not saying he does not want competition but the path will be easier at UM. In 3 years he has plans on being in the NFL so the question which team during the next three years gets him drafted the highest.

Coffee- 3rd rounder
Ingram- 1st rounder
Richardson- 1st rounder
Lacy- 2nd rounder
Yeldon- 2nd rounder
Fowler- 4th rounder
Henry- 2nd rounder
Drake- 3rd rounder

Bama has had eight running backs drafted in the last eight drafts.

What has Michigan done?

I don't want to call them "insiders" but two posters on BOL keep reassuring everyone that Najee is sticking with us.

My point was he comes to UA and unless Bo and D Harris are injured he will be #3 on the chart assuming he can beat out Jacobs but it looks like he may be at least #2 for UM next year.

I do not care where he ends up. He could go to any college in the country and I would wager in 3 years he will be drafted. The question is who gives him the best shot. Both programs will be contenders for the CFB playoffs while he is in college. Both programs like to run the ball. But our in top conferences. But one program his 1st year possibly buried a little bit in the depth chart(which never hurt any of the RBs you listed under Saban), and his 2nd & 3rd year not only is he sharing carries with another RB but also sharing carries with a DT QB in both Hurts and Tua. Where at UM he will be the man by year 2 if not 1 and as CJH showed while at Stanford he will not be sharing carries. If Harris believes that the more touches on the ball over 3 years is more important we may need to worry.

Ideally, it would have been a Harris or Akers situation. If Najee flips my concern will be that in the process it pushed us out of the picture for Akers as well.

I agree but this may end up being the same as Winston and Kiel

Lol. Your right but these recruits these days sure make it rough on an old man. Love those uneventful finishes where everything is pretty much wrapped up with maybe a surprise addition.

In my opinion, I think the lack of communication with Cam Akers shows that the staff is confident they will hold on to Najee Harris.

It's recruitments like this that make me miss the old days of recruiting. You bought a Forrest Davis magazine and then read the newspapers the day after signing day. That was it

Would be a shame to be committed for this long to change this close to the end. I think he will stick in the end also. He and his mother were impressed on the visit and she seems to like the Bama staff.

He also really likes Scott Cochran and Bama's workout program.

Just noticed on Najee's Mom's twitter, she retweeted an idiot that corrected her language. I hope she doesn't think he's an Alabama fan.
