It is an honor to represent Charles Bediako as part of his legal team in this eligibility dispute against the NCAA.
Charles seeks recognition of his right to compete for the University of Alabama. The NCAA's arbitrary and inconsistent enforcement of its eligibility standards is inflicting immediate and irreparable harm upon him.
This harm is particularly egregious given the NCAA's recent decisions granting eligibility to athletes with far more extensive professional experience, revealing a pattern of selective and inequitable application of its own rules.

I just wonder if there is risk in playing him and and then after the hearing he is found to be ineligible?

There’s no risk because the ncaa is toothless. Reggie Bush has his heisman back. No one remembers or cares about vacated losses anymore.
Michigan just Cold War espionaged their way to a championship and barely got a slap on the wrist.

My only hope is that this forces the NCAA to check themselves on the people they are giving eligibility to. NOBODY who has been a pro - in the US or in Europe - should be playing college sports. Period.

The idea of amateur athletics is dead. The Olympics did away with it long ago.
In 10 years the rule will be as long as you are enrolled at the college you can play for that college’s team.

In a way we can all take pride in enjoying the last great dynasty in amateur athletics. Our football team perfected amatuer athletic collegiate sports.
This will be a completely different thing and has been for a few years

Get ready for the live tv meltdown Saturday by the commentators who love us so much.
I can hear Dykes warming up his bullshite already.
"Devo Davis and Arkansas would never do something like this"
I know we're playing Tennessee on ESPN. But that asshat will be calling some game somewhere and he'll bitch about us and this situation and will reference Arkansas like he always does.

Really this is no different than letting these euro kids play college ball after getting paid and playing in the euro leagues. They come over here with basically the equivalent of g league competition.
Bediako would have never left when he did if he could have gotten nil back when he played, Canada wouldn't allow him to and that's the only reason he didn't stay.
We might have won it all the next year with him we went to the final four with out him.

This is a win/win for Alabama. Either Bediako plays which helps us or this is the straw that breaks the camels back and gets the NCAA and Congress to fix all this shite.

exactly, but the NCAA says it's concerned about taking spots from high school kids. What a fricking joke

True and on a serious note, I am glad Chuck gets this opportunity for now at least and hopefully helps us and his situation. It will be very interesting to see how it goes from a gameplan and chemistry standpoint.
Im assuming Chuck is still not a perimeter shooter like Sherrell can be?
Definitely a huge help for us though. Gonna be fun to watch.
