I'm not surprised at all. I mean just look at the SEC rant and how much trolling there is and I would estimate at least 75% of the trolling slants against Bama. And that was before the Bediako news. A bama player can fart and the opposing fans would blame bama for starting a Tropical Storm in the Atlantic.

That is not what I said. Bediaco isn’t playing professionally in Europe. If they are going to let the Vics who start playing professional bball in Europe at a young age take up spots on college bball teams then a G league player should be allowed to play.
Plus this thing that he made a choice to leave college and play professionally in the G league was not the same choice 2 years ago that it is today. He wasn’t getting paid to play at Alabama. If he had been paid what these kids get paid now He probably would have stayed and finished his 4 years before going to the G league.

Kentucky, Auburn, Oklahoma, Texas, LSU and Arkansas have former pro players on their roster. I bet there are more, I just haven't checked. I think most SEC teams have a former pro on their roster.
Alabama is one of the few SEC teams that *doesn't* have a former pro on the team. At least for now.

And that’s a bad thing because Bama Roll Tide did it.

I found this…sorry if already posted.
A few G League players have recently returned to college basketball due to evolving NCAA rules, notably Thierry Darlan (Santa Clara), London Johnson (Louisville), and Abdullah Ahmed (BYU), with ex-Alabama player Charles Bediako also temporarily reinstated, signaling a new trend of players choosing developmental pro leagues before college, challenging traditional pathways and eligibility norms.
There’s only one reason for the outrage: It’s ALABAMA. Period

Not to mention you’ve guys like Tyon Grant-Foster who is 25 playing for his 5th team in 8 years, yet there’s hardly been anything negative said about that

Considering how stupid and inconsistent NCAA is I hope he wins in court as a middle finger to NCAA as they deserve it for the BS they have been pulling
In general though, I hope they eventually enforce rules against this. Seems absurd to think Lebron could come back and play college ball.
It feels similar in golf how they are letting a guy who played on the PGA tour qualify again as an "amateur" or how people believe in being born again virgins

Amateurism has no legal basis for existence. It is an arbitrary construct that cannot be enforced once it was determined that the players are economic actors by federal courts.
There is one way to bring back the trappings of amateurism like eligibility limits and prior participation in professional athletics entities other than the NCAA: anti-trust carve out from the government, a players union, and a CBA enumerating these things for player participation in the system.

I’m pretty sure that Chad Baker-Mazara is still playing college basketball, too.

He is, and he is 2.5 years older than Chuck.
