Changes you want to see next year

There could be quite a long list of things that we may want to change after this past football season. My biggest desire from this team going forward is using guys like Billingsley as the H back more often in the run game. I've been going back and watching some of the games from last year. There were times when he was in that he looked clueless at H... but for the vast majority of times he was running through someone's soul. I dont know the specific stats but I'd love to see how much more effective our run game was with 19 in the game because it seemed like most of our success there came with him as the H.

Better tackling. And no more delayed blitzes that never work by Golding

A commitment to run the damn ball when it's working. I'm not saying 3 yards and a cloud of dust, I love the diversity we've shown the past few seasons and the explosiveness. But Jesus Christ, don't march down the field with Najee and the backs gashing them for 7-8 yards at a clip, get inside the 10 and decide it's time to throw 3 straight passes.

Stop the run on defense.
Throw the ball away and protect the football on offense.
Throw the ball away and protect the football on offense.

I’d like to see defenders tackle an opponent and . . . drive them backwards - not giving up until the whistle is blown and not giving up an inch to anyone.

I think there will probably be defensive (front 7) scheme changes for this season to more of an attacking scheme via DL stunting & penetration vs. 2-gap.

Shane Lee as a fullback

Lining up on defense more efficiently. We got caught with our pants down a lot. Harris being more experienced and Moses returning should help

If I never see the shotgun formation with our offensive linemen in a two point stance with their weight back on their heels it will be too soon.

Shane Lee has a fullback body. He's stocky and muscle bound. Way too slow as a modern day inside linebacker. He would be an awesome fullback. If Moses comes back healthy and Kaho progresses, I wouldn't be surprised to see Lee change positions. Or maybe moonlight as a fullback like Kaho did at times.

Fly around on defense, bring more heat, eat people's faces on the Dline.
Make FGs.
Don't get crucified with injuries on defense.
Be the best version of ourselves in November.

I thought we were naming things that might actually happen.
But this would be nice.

Hope you're right. The front needs to be more attacking and not just catch blockers. We need to let the pass rushers wreck havock, too.

This. I know we had Tua and the best WR corps ever, but we often had a bad case of fancy play syndrome.
We need the ability to have a long drive again. Our offense the past two years was usually either a quick strike TD or a quick punt and little in between.

This is my belief as well. I’d like to think that we would have seen him at fullback in some situations if our depth at linebacker wasn’t such an issue. Maybe this year, depth won’t be so thin
