It's easier to hate someone if you think he's just an objectively terrible person like Happy Ending, Roethlisberger, or Rodgers. I have no idea why a huge number of people on this board can't be satisfied with just thinking Milroe is a mediocre football player who benefitted from circumstances that made benching him difficult.

Of course this.

The tragic result of short written burst on message boards is people commenting in ways that are only right/wrong, black/white, up/down. They are afraid that too much of what they write is lost among the millions of other comments - thus a quick reference carries more weight - or so they think. It has led to a real dumbing down of our society - maybe evolving from the constant discourse in political/societal issues.

Basically not many can see (or refuse to see) every angle - not only in politics, sports, etc., but in life.

Instant verification of their thoughts is what they seek. Not many can keep it real anymore.

This the reason I think I’m finally gonna leave the site. The Alabama board was a refuge - now it’s kinda become the Rant.

Yeah. Idk if I agree with the throwing games stuff. BAMA is always a double digit favorite. He could shave points and still win games. Why lose games intentionally?

Also... bookies don't approach dummies to throw games.

If you're leaving, you're not, but enlighten us morons with the reality of what we all witnessed with our own eyes.

We ran like two man routes lol. Like it was extremely elementary at times.

The offensive line just needs to get LEANER and more EXPLOSIVE.

To be honest with you...We don't have a true #1 running back.

We don't have a guy who can really break tackles anymore. Have y'all noticed that or is it just me?

More fairytale made in your heads

You’re the only one that believes in the fairytale that Milroe didn’t have DeBoer’s hands tied in some fashion this season.

I hold DeBoer ultimately responsible. He didn’t have the courage to try something new yesterday. He should have brought Simpson in for a couple series to see if he could spark something on offense. If he didn’t succeed, Milroe sitting on the bench might have settled him right down. DeBoer could have brought Milroe back in at that time. Honestly, though, I don’t see how Simpson could have played as bad as Milroe. DeBoer didn’t have much to lose to try something new…but, he didn’t have the intestinal fortitude to do it.

I am not defending DeBoer. He may or may not be a great coach for us, but putting in Simpson in the first quarter would have proven that he is not a good coach.

Good coaches have a plan and they don’t abandon it easily. Yanking Milroe in the first quarter would have put DeBoer on the hot seat with the AD and others who know coaching.

I know that doesn’t sate our anger and disgust, but that is how it is.

He should have been benched after the Tennessee game.

Bingo on our RB's. Jam is average just Justice. Based on Milroe playing every down, we're to assume that Young, Hill, and Riley are less than good as well.

Steve Spurrier is a hall of famer, and he would yank the first and second string QBs in the same game looking for the hot hand.

Watching a QB throw four games away in identical fashion is the definition of helpless.

Nick Saban changed his QB, RB, and OL in a championship game with everyone in the world watching because it was all he could do to give us a chance... 30 minutes later Tua and 26 takes place for the natty.

We don't want a coach worried about his job security... we want a coach so consumed by winning its the only thing on his mind.

There are no preconceived gameplans that can't be abandoned. You can yank your Ace in the first inning of a do or die playoff game if he doesn't have it.

At some point yesterday DeBoer knew we were going to lose unless something changed at QB... he choose to let it happen anyway. Why he did that all season is the million dollar question, and it has nothing to do with his job security

Nick Saban was wired differently. He often said he hated losing more than he loved winning. Most coaches now just want to be paid the most for the least physical, mental and emotional effort.

Lastly, and this is where I personally lost all respect for #4 as a player, he studder stepped to try and trip the OK player who just intercepted his pass and was headed for a td. #4 had the angle and speed and should have been an easy shove out of bounds

Plus Milroe had, at least, 2inches in height and 25-30lbs, on that DB.

Just inexcusable. Tommy Lewis is rolling in his grave.
