Agreed. All the rumors were that he'd be announcing a transfer today. The fact that we haven't heard anything on the same day Bama makes a DB coach hire is promising imo.

I don't think we'll hear anything unless he decides to leave. I mean the only reason people are worried he's leaving is one speculative tweet from a ESPN guy trying to get clicks and a bunch of other fan bases wishful thinking. There has been no word from Downs that he is actually considering it.

Josh Pate said 48 hours ago that he hasn't heard anything trustworthy about Downs even wanting to leave.

Pate's been on the money about Bama for a good while now.

Sounds like he making the smart play and at least giving it through spring ball. No need to be impatient when another portal opportunity happens after he can feel things out.

Caleb downs has never been one to make announcements or to seek attention. It would be very unlike him to have an announcement that he was staying.

After the amount of tampering this kid has probably endured he’s my new favorite player. He was already pretty close to the top anyway.

I don't see BK taking another job at his age. Michigan is about to get poached real hard though.

They could go NFL again, so no guarantee there, but Harbaugh is absolutely leaving.

A lot of talk says BK really wants the UM job. Even willing to put up with the coming sanctions.
