frick no.
Or they could just keep the same size jumbotron and just have open air around it. Slicing the upper deck in half and leaving two small protrusions just looks bizarre.

I spy the worst seats in the house behind that screen.

THat jumbotron looks janky as hell. I hope the final product is better than the rendering of it.

It's a rendering, it will look like every other giant jumbotron at the nice stadiums these days.

I love all the changes except not a big fan of the glass on both sides of the stadium, looks way too NFL'ish.

I agree. Don’t like it either. It’s the kind of thing that will look dated in 20 years. I guess it’s better than exposed concrete.
Everything else looks pretty solid.

All looks pretty good. The stadium looks a little goofy with the jumbotron but I'm sure they'll iron that out.
Arena looks great.
Anybody noticed every new club area had fully functioning bars with taps? Just renderings and all, but still interesting.
Any idea on timelines?

BDS is scheduled to begin after the 2019 season. Coleman after the 2020-2021 season I believe is what I read.

I mean, this just looks stupid. I realize it's just a computer generated rendering, but it's not very promising.

Am I the only one who thought the layout of BDS was fine the way it was? I don't mind the glass enclosure on the east and west side at all. Have to say, I hate the video board cut into the upper deck. One of the things I love about BDS is the symmetry of it, that gets taken away with cutting into south side upper deck. Like I said, I like the glass on the east and west side. I love the ending to the walk of champions going straight into the stadium as opposed to off to the left like it is now. We will see, obviously some of this will change with time.
Love the new look of Coleman Coliseum. That is going to be awesome.

Yeah I think most of the major changes to BDS are unnecessary.
Adding wider concourses and a few extra niceties is fine. The big scoreboard looks awkward. It doesn't look like it belongs, not natural. You're better off just getting rid of that whole upper deck and building something from scratch. The little mini upper decks just look weird.
And I really don't like the glass paneling.

It doesn't fit in with the campus aesthetic at all.

The video highlights the grey courtside seats as the student section. But where do y’all think the rest of the students because that can’t be it

Bingo. Brick and concrete fit with the campus. The glass paneling looks way too 'modern' and way too much like an NFL stadium. Just too shiny, the campus isn't a city.

Pissed off about the stupid arse jumbotron in BDS... just make the 4 cornered screens larger and cover the ramps you can currently see on the sides. I don’t go to the games to watch a big arse TV... everyone can do that at home.
Also, it Negates the previous renovations... huge fricking waste of money. Who the frick signed off on this piece of shite?

The new stadium has more nice'ities and fan ameniteis and is higher tech, but the current stadium is much more visually appealing.
We have one of, if not, the most aesthetically pleasing stadiums n the country right now.
The new design has some very tacky elements to it.
It's more modern looking but I'm not sure modern is good.
