Oh, I know...not complaining, was just thinking we might only lose one or maybe two...this is the second time Harbaugh has snagged a Bama coach for his OC...wonder if he's still pissed about Enos?

I wonder what the deal is with Gattis. Seems like he was wanting out of here. Maybe Saban wanted him gone, but I just don't see that being the case.

I have to think that the fact we dont saddle assistants with large buyouts is how we are able to pull strong staffs together year after year. Yes there is a lot of benefit with being tied to a Saban staff, but there has to be a reason we aren't attaching pricey buyouts at this point.

Well we need to sneak that shite in the contracts after the fact. Forge some signatures or something.

He got the OC offer to Maryland and shopped it around and Michigan bit, that is a huge promotion and he doesn't want to be a wr coach forever.

We gave him a Co-Oc title, but then hired over him with Enos, it's clear who we really wanted as OC and he probably decided to go somewhere he can call his own plays.

Co-OC is still the OC. You said he was taking a huge promotion and that's just not true. He might not have the Co on his title anymore but if you think Harbaugh is going to let him do his own thing up there, then I don't know what to tell you.

I believe Harbaugh wants him because he is a great recruiter, but Harbaugh will still handle most of the offense

We hire Enos as OC but with us bringing pretty much our whole offense back Im pretty sure we are gonna be looking for another OC next year because he is gonna probably gonna get a HC job after next season.

In that case he's hurting his career. Saddling yourself with the OC title at Michigan with Harbaugh running the offense is literally no different than being OC for Les Miles.

I agree 100%. He was either going to go to Maryland or Michigan. Locksley would have been all over the playcalling at Maryland and Harbaugh is terrible at doing the same thing.

Know what? I said I wonder If Dan was happy here at Alabama? I didn't say anything to suggest that it was a fact. It was a question.

I don't think Locksley is anything special as a playcaller, but Harbaugh is a fricking disaster. He will run the ball 3 straight times after snapping it with under 10 seconds left on the play clock even when he's down 2 scores with 6 minutes left in the game. Dude has no clue how to adjust when his preferred strategy doesn't work out. None.

Locksley isn't anything special. I just know that this is his second chance and I wouldn't expect him to just let a first year playcaller control things.

Does anybody know anything about the so-called baggage that Venables has carried around since his days as the LB coach at K-State?

Supposedly whatever it is has had something to do with keeping him off the radar for these Head Coaching jobs that never seem to mention him. I don't know anything specific and have only seen un-verified rumors on other sites...
