All those quality wins need to mean something at the end of the year. Had FSU been Mercer this year we would be ranked #4 right now . Zero reason to play anyone outside of conference anymore. Those games need to all be canned.

They need to get rid of the committee and go back to a formula-based rankings system. The BCS rankings were fine, but instead of just going with expanding this thing, we expanded and changed the selection system at the same time.

The committee talks out of both sides of its mouth, lacks consistency in how it applies it's standards, and basically justifies its rankings with a different standard based on the week or the team.

Also, I think if we beat Auburn and go to Atlanta, we are safe, save getting blown out in that game.

The other thing that's frustrating is that they're acting like FSU is an FCS team. They're #27 in FPI, #28 in SP+, #25 in FEI. They've been on the wrong side of a few really tight games. A couple bounces and suddenly they're a "quality loss" like Notre Dame's.

But for some reason we have to pretend they're the same as Boston College.

USC beating Oregon would cause some chaos and put us in a 3-way battle between two 10-2 teams, and a 10-3 Alabama that, again, had to play an extra game.

If Oregon loses that game, they should drop out of the top 15. So far they've played one ranked team, and they lost at home in a game that was really never in doubt.

I'd love to see the reaction to a real threat of going independent. ESPN and their new SEC contract without Bama. We could play who we wanted and maybe not get screwed over by the conference year after year with scheduling.

I’d much rather only play SEC teams. I think the SEC is just throwing bones to the group of nine conferences that have laughable ratings compared to the SEC. How many non-SEC teams move the needle for you if you see them on our schedule?

Add Clemson, Miami, Florida State, and Georgia Tech

Absorb the rest of the ACC and Big XII as SEC division 2

25 team division 1 with 20 permanent teams + 5 playing up from division 2

25 team division 2 with 30 teams minus the five playing in division 1

We should just ditch the boring and greedy Big Ten, and categorize the other 2 “power conferences” as what they are which is second tier.

I've been arguing this for years but there's too many ignorant pro-SEC boomer cucks in our fanbase.
