I was surprised by how good Danny Lewis looked. He was one of the lower rated signees in 2022 but that guy is really talented. Niblack also looks like he has made strides but is not close to his potential yet. Which is exciting.

If Proctor continues to develop over the next 4 months, he's got a great chance to start.

listening to a reporter that was on jox with Cole and Gmac.
He said he got the feeling from talking to the coaches that they feel very good about our receivers. I know Saban said after the game that the receivers had been very consistent before the drops in the spring game. This reporter said though its hard to get much from that game. Just look at the mvp of last years spring game. Christian Leary. He said our new OC is just working with Milroe to just eliminate 2 of the reads before he even gets to the line of scrimmage. He shouldnt be making four checks at the los. Saban was grumbling during the game about the QBs not throwing to the TEs. This reporter said he didnt think our offense would look like the pass happy offense we saw Saturday, but he was a little surprised at how much the coaches seemed to like the receivers so we might throw the ball more than he expected. Gmac, was all over how bad the play of our right offensive tackle was. The reporter said he wasnt sure if the quarterbacks just were not allowed to do anything to help him out, or they were missing reads. He said they are just so limited in a spring game in what they will show that its hard to know. He did say that he thinks Saban will look to the portal for another QB if there is one out there, even if its only for an experienced back up. But he said one thing is for sure, Saban will not put up with turnovers.

Did Gmac mean LEFT tackle?

I thought he said RT. He said the RT had been a big problem in the past, then it got a little better last year, and it was bad again on Saturday.

He must have meant left tackle because Pritchett was beaten a lot. I can only imagine the criticism had Dallas Turner, Braswell and Keeley been on the field.

I enjoy having A Day this season specifically due to the overreactions from opposing fans. From Tennessee, LSU and Georgia they all think we are 100% trash this season. I love it.

Please keep writing us off, CFB nation. QB or not we’re coming for that booty.

Danny Lewis is a Louisiana kid who didn't attend camps but played at a powerhouse high school. There are lots of kids like him in Louisiana. Rankings are chiefly based on camps.

Proctor will grab the LT spot and maybe Pritchett moves to G.

Proctor, Pritchett, Seth, Booker, Latham would be a dominant run blocking O line imo.

Quandarrius and Keanu Koht both looked good. Those guys can play too. OLB is going to be full of depth.

Need to see plenty of rotation at OLB.

My money is on Marshall and Lawson starting at ILB spots. Rotate Campbell and Jefferson in when possible.

Btw I liked what I saw from Qua Russaw. He’ll be a star one day.

Need more disruption on the interior, though. Didn’t see much of it on Saturday but it’s hard to read vs our O line. Oatis has to be that dude.

I want to see opposing O lines on skates all game long this year. That’s the key.

If Richard Young comes in here and is ready to go picking up his blocking assignments, the RB corp will be crazy. I wouldn't even want to try to split those carries up.

Blackshire is a beast, too. I think that Ian Jackson might hit the portal because he'll never see the field. I want to see how advanced Yhonzae Pierre is when he arrives this summer. He could add immediate special teams value. Jefferson as well. Keeley is the guy to watch though, IMO. That dude is ferocious.

Justine Eboigbe could be that guy. They were obviously taking it easy with him but he is a difference maker when healthy. He was playing the best ball of his career last year when he got injured.

Blackshire and Murphy looked good at ILB too. I hope we rotate the ILBs this season. Campbell, Jefferson, Murphy, Blackshire all look good. I've been saying for a while what Lawson did last season was nothing to make him a definite starter this season with the way the other ILBs are coming along. And, I don't have much to say about Marshall either.

Plus, we have a new ILB, DC, and Charlie Strong as an analyst who has ILB coaching experience. I think the ILBs are now being properly evaluated. I don't put anything positive in how Golding evaluated and coached the ILB position.
