Do you not understand the guy is a lock to be a first round pick? Even if you’re right and he struggles in the NFL, he will still be a first round pick, very likely top 10, come draft time. Why risk coming back another year?

To win a championship. To improve. This isn't something that never happens.

He has a real chance of being the no. 1 draft pick. He’s not going to improve his draft stock hardly if at all. It’s not worth the risk

Bryce will only hurt himself staying. He is likely #1 overall, and next year he would have to contend with Caleb Williams and Drake Maye for #1 overall.

Q. Deuce, did you get the looks you were looking for, that you expected from Alabama's defense?

DEUCE VAUGHN: Yes, sir. Especially in the first half, they did some things that we didn't see on film as far as pressure-wise. Got in some good looks for us and gave us some success early on. They ended up changing up some things, changing up some tendencies as they went on in the game. Credit to them, they did a really good job in doing that. For us, it was just kind of having to adapt once we saw that. We weren't successful in doing that. But, no, credit to Alabama. Whatever they did coming out with some adjustments, they did a really good job with it.

For those that say the Defense never makes adjustments.

I wish that we had made the appropriate adjustments in the Tennessee and LSU games.

The adjustments the defense made were clear. It was like watching two different defenses; 1st half vs 2nd half.

I feel the 1st half defense was the worst we've played and worst defense that was called by Golding all season long.

How much easier is it for the defense when you have your offense score 3 TDs in under 3 min. I mean yeah those points but how predictable does the opposing offense become and how less worried are you about a ...6 yd run

Jermaine Burton shares why he is excited about returning in 2023 (247Sports)

quote:

Alabama will welcome back its top two receivers from this season’s team.

Ja’Corey Brooks, a sophomore, is not yet eligible and will return for his junior year. But Jermaine Burton could enter the 2023 NFL Draft but is coming back for his senior year. Speaking to media members after the Crimson Tide’s win over Kansas State in the Allstate Sugar Bowl, he shared what excites him about returning to Tuscaloosa for a second season.

“I’m excited about everything,” Burton said, via BamaCentral. “I’m really excited about the Fourth Quarter Program, new guys coming in and seeing how they adjust to it. And adding a more veteran bar level going into my senior year, I feel like it’ll be great to interact with freshmen and whatnot coming in and actually having the chance to be a role model to them and leader to them.”

In before the “Golding was stripped of his play calling duties at halftime” thread.

Can we all just resign ourselves to the reality that drunk Pete will be here for at least another year until his contract expires? We will have to satisfy ourselves with BOB hitting the NFL road. I wish I was wrong but nobody wants Golding, there is NO interest in him from other programs so he is our problem and we will have to put up with him for now. I agree, that sucks.

Golding is the problem that Saban refuses to solve. Contracts don't mean much in Power 5 football. So, all the talk about Bama being tethered to Golding because Golding is under contract is purely excuse making. Pay the damn buyout or demote Golding and bring in another DC. The end.

The reason I believe the first half defense in the Sugar Bowl was the worst Golding has called is because Texas and Tennessee actually have elite offensive talent and elite offensive coaching. KSU? NO!

When has Saban not honered a contract? He will tell whomever to find another job first.

Reassignment would be most likely.
