Oatis looks much better but 370 is still way too heavy to be anything other than a situational player. He just won’t have any real stamina at anything above 350. Really need to get him down to 335 or so if we want him to be a 2-3 down player and not just goal line.

Sacks and Steaks: What It's Like Being a Media Coach for the Winning A-Day Team (SI)

The OL coach hasn't had time to impress on then yet. From his profile (Wolford spent the 2021 season at Kentucky rebuilding a Wildcats' offensive front that lost three starters into a unit that was a finalist for the Joe Moore Award.)

Admittedly they looked bad but they were missing three potential starters (steen, Ekiyor, and Dalcourt) all guys with experience. I think it mainly showed that Randolph just doesn't have what it takes, Knight probably doesn't either, and Brokermeyer is nowhere near ready to play, though he has a health history that suggests he may not be ready for a while. I'm confident Latham will be fine at RT and if not Tyler Booker will take his spot.

I will add this, signing the best tackle in America needs to be our top recruiting priority for the 2023 class.

Brockermeyer is just Tyler Love 2.0. He won't ever play any meaningful snaps. Just another big sissy from texas.

Downvoting won't make it any less true.

Yeah, at 350 I think he has Haynesworth/John Henderson potential. The kid is a legitimate 6-7 according to him. And, he is an elite athlete. I follow the kid on Twitter. He's a Saban guy and a future team leader. He seems bought in and is taking nothing for granted. I definitely believe he's no more than 350 lbs by the time the season starts.

I'll just say I think the Brockermeyers are misevaluations. By this time every ELITE OL that has come to Bama is either a starter or we are hearing they are tearing it up in practice.

I still don't think his shoulder is 100%.

I have seen more than once on this thread that Tommy Brockermeyer was getting over an injury last year so I think we are writing him off to early.

He was injured his Junior year of high school and then Covid happened his Senior year. He came in underweight and then had an injury last year that slowed his development (and this is after basically not playing for two years). It's a bit unfair to write him off at this point.

I’ll give the Brock brothers one more year before I write them off as busts. If they head into year 3 next season still buried on the depth chart and not making any moves, the writing will be on the wall for them. I hope for their sake they can get healthy, develop and become major players here.

I would guess if they are buried on the depth chart by the end of the year they won’t be here next year for you to write off.

T Brockmeyer has been injured as per his dad last year from a HS shoulder injury. His brother wasnt expected to start anytime soon.
Some of you guys just sound miserable and give up way too easily on some of these guys, SMH.

Easy to bash players sitting behind an anonymous name on an obscure message board. Some people want our program to fail.

Oh boo hoo. You logged on knowing this was an anonymous message board.

Yeah, barners, corn doggers, gayturds, and all the rest of them. But our fans expect our 5 star recruits to be able to crack the two deep by year two, especially at postion of need. This kid is at the bottom of the depth chart and the names above him are not former starters or big time recruits. I hope he proves me wrong but he's way behind schedule.

IF Nick wanted to make sure that Steen (committed but not signed as of yet) needed to see our weakness at LT then his plan to start Randloph and then Brock was a damn success.

George is a wait and see prospect at this point.

This bunch has a chance to be really good. Need one of these freshmen TE's to give us a down the field threat in the passing game and that would be huge.

There is some buzz that Jameson is gonna be the 1st wideout taken in the draft. Mock drafts a few months ago had him in the 20s but now its hard to find him lower than 16.

Its starting to show in Vegas too. 2 weeks ago his odds to be the first wideout taken was +500 (bet 100 to win 500). Now its +160 (bet 100 to win 160.) Garrett Wilson is the betting favorite but its very close at +115.

I was hoping he would fall to the Chargers (and Justin Herbert) at 17. Guess not
