Alabama had the best offense in the conference last year

Kight should get more reps with the 1s, instead of Randolph, imo. Randolph is heading into his 6th season -- he's already reached his ceiling.

Exactly, if Randolph had not won a starting spot somewhere as of yet, probably not good. Very worrisome that we don’t have someone else ready to take that spot.

Maybe Saban is giving Randolph too much opportunity. Imo, your starters must always be your best players, regardless of seniority.

I know Ricks has been injured, but surprising to hear he is second team

From what I have gathered, Ricks and Kool-Aid have rotated a little at one corner spot and Khyree has been at the other. Arnold has also had some first team reps at corner, I think corner will be one of the strongest positions on the team as long as these guys are healthy.

I dont think so. He has said numerous times that he wants the five best players on the field. Look this is a new OL with three missing starters. It’s not even just the five best players but the five with the best cohesion. Give them a chance. Let’s see what they look like going into fall. The good news is with all these starters out it gives them a lot of opportunity to build a lot of depth for fall.

Rumor has it that Steen may be coming in from the portal and if that happens he will take one of the starting tackle spots. My guess is LT and Latham at RT.

Steen isn’t what we are used to at LT, but he would give them something solid to build around as the young tackles mature.

G and C should be solid, but if Steen doesn’t join I’ll believe we are functional at tackle when I see it.

Fify

The "best five" OL group usually isn't finalized until we're well into fall camp.

if he’s not confident that he can come in and beat out a 6’4 295lb LT, then maybe he lacks the type of mentality it takes to win a championship

LOL. Well he is coming from Vanderbilt so ....... but I really hope we get him because I feel like he WILL be the starting LT.

I wasn't clear in why I said We may need to get another WR in the portal... Lot of you downvoted me on that.

A name was mentioned: Tyrell Harrel from Louisville

Rodney Orr discussed this morning. Says it is not a rumor that the kid is interested. Caught 18 passes but 6 td's. Averaged 29 ypc. He can fly on the highlights. Former coach at Louisville says legit 4.25

Or maybe we need to develop players. But i could see us going with another outside receiver. Im not sold on Holden.

Even without Agiye, I'd say we still have the horses to put out an elite receiving group. Sure I'd love a god-tier deep threat like Jameson Williams but those guys don't exactly grow on trees.

Hall was a head case. Sucks because when the receivers went down he was one of the guys Saban turned to which let us know he would be good.
