It’d be a great hire, Fickell is known as a phenomenal recruiter and coach. He’d bring toughness that USC has been missing the last decade as well

I see USC going after Peterson. Not currently coaching but did well at UW and can recruit the west coast. Also the fact they went ahead and fired Helton 2 weeks in suggest to me they want to get a coach in before the season ends and before early signing.
Peterson and Stoops are both not coaching and if wanted to step right in.
Meyer I think if they wait to hire after the season might be the guy.
