Bama has regularly had 3-4 black OL at any given time, and had an all-black OL for the playoffs last year so what in the hell possessed SMS to turn this into a narrative?

Anyone know the status of LaBryan Ray and when or if he will play?

I’m to the point, that any plays that he’s in the game, is a positive. I feel like he’s just snakebit.

He already has. This seems to be a personal issue between him and Saban, and it could just be because he didn’t get vaccinated. If that’s the case, then Saban is being ridiculous. I hope to see Jahleel out there soon.

If Jahleel really is refusing to get vaccinated after literally everyone else on the team has, and after Saban has made it a priority between his PSAs and the experts he has brought in, then Jahleel can find another school to play for. It’ll probably have to be JUCO though at this point, with so many other P5 schools either mandating vaccination or reaching 100% vaccinated.

Agreed, but i hope that's not the case.

He can do what so many did last year did and that is take a pass on 2021 and spend his time working for the combine.
It appears he might not want to spend that much time working for either.
When somebody is in there money year and they have to be called out by Saban then the message is clear to the NFL folks that will be looking.

Just curious if you caught the College World Series this year.

People really struggle with reconciling the world as it is with the world as they believe it should be.

Gmac said last week it was about missing practice with bumps and bruises. And Gmac said Billingsley wasn't the only one Saban was preaching to.

Saban has also made some comments that could suggest the issue also existed in the OLine and DB groups.

In Monday's practice video he was spotted practicing in pads, in a full-contact jersey. Not sure how telling that is for his game availability, but hopefully a good sign.

I got no problem with that. I got no problem with Saban encouraging all players to get the vaccine. I got a problem with (and i dont even know if this is the case) Saban using the media messaging and PT to persuade a kid to get the vaccine. I have zero problems with him using that messaging and PT to get better effort at practice. I applaud that, and i expect that to be the case.
Quite frankly, we don't know what the real issue with Billingsley is. But, i feel if it's a vaccine issue, that is something that should be a private conversation. If it's an effort issue, then by all means shame him to the media. In the past, any time we had a player with a medical situation Saban has been extremely tight lipped about it.

Any snaps we get from him will be a bonus IMO.
Great player, but with the injury history just can’t expect him to be available every week.

I am not sure if the SEC has stated its Covid policy yet.
I think the nfl and the ncaa guidance would make it a big problem with contact tracing for unvaccinated players. Basically you are out for 7 days even if you test negative.
And this year, it looks like they will treat it as a loss if you cant field a team. I saw Urban Meyer said the vaccine was definitely a consideration when they made the big cut yesterday. One writer yesterday, referring to Scam Newton said you just cant afford that in your QB room. basically if any position group gets mostly eliminated by contact tracing then you are screwed because they are unvaccinated.
