That guy's a total cuckold. I doubt that he would be saying stuff like that in real life. Easy to talk shite behind an anonymous site.

Idk what you guys are talking about, I'm always in awe of MikeNumbers' deep inside knowledge. Billingsley's going to stay here or he's not. May be a third option, but can't get into the details on that. Should get resolved soon. Maybe not though. Very fluid situation. Has Billingsley and the staff thinking things over, but they might just decide it was nothing. Great info!

Saban on Jahleel Billingsley: "He's also got to buy into the principles of the team and be a good teammate and do the things that everyone else in the organization does. ... We're certainly trying to help him do that, and hopefully, he'll be back out there with us in a few days."
Seems like every year there’s a story like this with Saban bringing down discipline on an established player very publicly. Last year it was Barmore after getting into it with a coach. Year before it was Terrell Lewis and others suspended for part of the Duke game after missing a team bonding event.
Im sure the guys actually do mess up, but I think it’s more of a tone setting move by Saban to get on an older player hard and publicly early on. Until something comes out suggesting it’s more than that, I won’t be too concerned.

quote:
Alabama was back on the practice field Monday afternoon, following a one-day break, for its third preseason practice session. The Crimson Tide worked out in helmets and shorts out on the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields on a cloudy, 90-degree afternoon.
Here are several observations from the media viewing portion of Alabama’s Monday practice:
-- Tight end Jahleel Billingsley was present during the two media viewing periods after missing the Crimson Tide’s first two practices for undisclosed reasons. The junior was at the back of the tight end line, which was led by program veterans Cameron Latu and Major Tennison.
“He does have a lot of ability, he can be a positive contributor on the team,” said head coach Nick Saban of Billingsley, “but he’s also got to buy into the principles and values of the team and be a good teammate and do the things that everyone else in the organization does so that he has the respect of his teammates. We’re certainly trying to help him do that, and hopefully, he’ll be back out there with us in a few days. We’ll see how that all develops.”
-- Watching the offensive linemen, the first group through drills consisted of Evan Neal at left tackle, Javion Cohen at left guard, Chris Owens at center, Emil Ekiyor at right guard and Kendall Randolph at right tackle. The second unit that I saw Monday featured Amari Kight at left tackle, Tommy Brown at left guard, Darrian Dalcourt at center, Tanner Bowles at right guard and JC Latham at right tackle. Damien George and Pierce Quick also worked at right tackle.
-- Defensive lineman LaBryan Ray was not at Monday’s practice, but we learned Sunday that the redshirt senior sustained a “pretty significant” groin injury prior to fall camp that will keep him out for a couple of weeks, Saban said. In his absence, the first three defensive linemen through drills with position coach Freddie Roach were Justin Eboigbe, DJ Dale and Tim Smith.
-- Staying near the line of scrimmage, Will Anderson led the outside linebackers through drills with assistant coach Sal Sunseri. Behind the sophomore was Christopher Allen, Drew Sanders, King Mwikuta, Quandarrius Robinson, Dallas Turner, Chris Braswell and Keanu Koht.
-- The first three inside linebackers through individual drills with Pete Golding continue to be the same trio of players -- Christian Harris, Henry To’o To’o and Jaylen Moody. As for the order of the players behind them, that seems to vary from drill to drill. What is clear is the Crimson Tide has plenty of depth at the position with the four newcomers it added this offseason.
-- We got our first look at Alabama’s dime secondary, and there were no surprises there. Josh Jobe and Jalyn Armour-Davis were the cornerbacks, Jordan Battle and DeMarcco Hellams were the two safeties, Malachi Moore was at Star and Brian Branch was opposite him at Money. In non-dime news, corner Jahquez Robinson switched numbers from No. 21 to No. 23.
-- Players once again wore the soft-shell helmet covers, which Saban was asked about Sunday. “We haven't done a whole lot of hitting so far, but there's some scientific evidence that those soft-shell, impact crowns have been effective in some NFL teams using them,” Saban said. “So anything that we think can help protect our players is certainly something that we want to do. We don't have enough information right now to tell you that they've made a great impact. But we certainly think that it's something significant that does protect the players in a better way.”
-- NFL scouts from the Lions, Packers and Steelers were at Monday’s outdoor practice session.
*** What’s next: Alabama will practice again Tuesday, Aug. 10. It will be closed to reporters.
Glad Billingsley is getting out of the dog house!

Was looking at the updated roster today and the son of Chris Herren from the 30 for 30 Unguarded is a walk on wide receiver. Pretty cool and if you haven't seen that documentary do so. It's powerful.

Speaking of documentaries, I tried to watch the one ESPN did called "The Ultimate Team" about last season and it says it is unavailable on ESPN+. I have to wait until it airs on SEC Network tomorrow so I can record it.

That's a lot of beef.
Eboigbe looked like a grown man when he showed up a couple years ago. He's massive now.

It looks like it’s available for streaming on SEC+ in the ESPN app. I watched it twice when it first came out. It’s quite nice.

But is he playing End? I feel like Tim Smith is the guy we wanted that Hulk guy to be.

Smith is an interior lineman. He could be absolutely disruptive in the middle. Someone like Ray and Jah Marien Latham are the prototype ends in our system. Hopefully Ray will be able to return soon. I'm interested to see if Chris Allen will play more with his hand in the dirt.

Our top DEs include Mathis, Ray, Eboigbe, Young & Latham. I think Tim Smith could play NT or DE.

I hope that he's on the field as much as possible. He's a monster.
