Nothing Finebaum thinks or says really matters.

It's so infuriating that tons of Alabama fans in their 30s and older will forever see that shitbag as legitimate media. He made a career out of a niche radio show that highlighted the lowest common denominator of two fanbases that hate each other. Then he went mainstream when Saban built Alabama back into the #1 program in the country at the same time the SEC created its own network. The show isn't entertaining anymore now that there are tons of non-Alabama or Auburn callers, and Finebaum himself is worse than ever when it comes to stirring the pot.

Probably just saying that because another national title would give him 7 overall, one more then the Bear for most titles overall. Saban would officially be the best ever with nothing else to prove.

He could go for most titles at one school, him and the Bear would be tied at 6 if Bama wins this one. His best shot to break that record would be in 2022. Saban would turn 71 that year.

Finebaum should be permanently banned from ever coming near the Alabama program again. He's been a pimple on our arse for thirty plus years. He's a sack of shite.

I am old and most people don't remember how Pawl rode Coach Bryant very hard his last couple of years.

F Pawl and the Bham News. His success is a reflection on the downhill slide of society.

• Spent the last 15 minutes on the phone with sources and here are a few general thoughts I've gathered:

• Nobody expects his move to Texas to affect the national championship game. He's a pro. And in fact I was told, after the fact, that this had been in the works a few weeks and Sark had kept it quiet and he's done a fine job the last couple of weeks. I don't think a lot of people at UA knew about it either.

• The possibility of landing a bigger job (Texas) was the reason he turned down the Auburn (and other possible) interviews. Same source said he never was leaving UA except for a too good to pass up offer. Texas fits the bill. Also the NFL would have come calling after the season, too. It was a matter of when not if he would be moving on.

• Most of the class has signed. Sark didn't recruit a lot of kids. So we don't anticipate any major issues here.

• All the coaches who know Sark are happy for him. He's well liked by his peers. Opinions vary if Texas is a great fit. Time will tell but all agreed he deserved another chance.

• Think a big shout out for Sarkisian is deserved for the job he did. Lane and Locks brought it and Sark picked it up and did a great job.

• We will be working on an OC hot board. Gathering names now but there will be no shortage of candidates for this job. Very loaded offensive room.

Note: Several Sark threads on the board.

We are seeing the reports that Sark to Texas is done, and the reports that it’s not done, and that he turned it down. Lol

So far all we can tell you is that a couple of sources “expect” him to take the job. But again, nothing is ever official until it’s officially announced and we’ve seen things fall through in the past. But it’s hard to believe Texas fired Tom Herman without having their next coach in place.

With that said nothing has ever surprised us with a coaching search and we are monitoring the situation. But as things stand now our sources indicate they think he is taking the job.

We will let you know if we hear more.

If Sark does leave for UT then it is a good bet he wont leave then years later when NS retires. There are just a number of programs you dont leave if you are successful. I have been a fan of his since he came back to Bama and did wonders with our QB's

Nailed it. Finebaum would still be on AM radio if Saban hadn’t come to Alabama. I think it’s a joke that the SEC made him the face of that network. He’s a clown that only makes hot takes based on how it can get him views & clicks. He’s a wave rider. Will be a great day when he’s no longer associated with college football.

Finebaum has pissed off plenty of fans of both Alabama and Auburn. I know plenty of barners that despise him. It's one of the very few things that the fan bases can agree on.
