Yep. This may not all be orchestrated, but I'm guessing that after that arse beating Auburn handed them whatever restrictions they had on non-football or academic activities were lifted.

We do have a higher winning percentage in BR than LSU so I get it. Unfortunately, this is kind of like watching guys on the defense suddenly drop to their knees and lay on the field like they were shot out of a cannon. You know what's going on you just can't do anything about it.

Gus just said da barn has 9 players, 3 staff members that tested positive, since the off week. They previously had 7 weeks with no positives.
I guess that came from the off week. Gus said he doesnt know if they would have had enough players to play this weekend

He was asked about the 14 day contact protocol, and gus said yea, its 14 days. Thats all he said.

That could screw up 2 weekends, and certainly screws up practice for a long period of time.

Resheduling options if LSU can't play Saturday:

Option-1: Move UA @ LSU to 11/21 by moving UA vs UK from 11/21 to 12/12 and LSU @ AR from 11/21 to 12/19. LSU @ UF stays on 12/12.

Option-2: Move UA @ LSU to 12/05 by moving UA @ AR from 12/05 to 12/12 and LSU vs OM from 12/05 to 12/19. LSU @ UF stays on 12/12.

Note: Option-1 keeps UA @ LSU game next after the current prep for it. Also, Option-1's road games on 11/21 & 12/05 are much better dates for UA than Option-2's road games on 12/05 & 12/12 preceding the SEC-CG. Travel increases risk of players getting covid.

They'll play. They just want a built-in excuse for the arse-whipping. "Muh Chinese Flu is the only reason it was that bad!"
The Swamptards will start spouting it in lockstep.

Kristen Saban just posted a gif that said, “ The world knows you’re a coward”. No context but it doesn’t give me a warm feeling for the game happening

Move bama-UK to 12/12. LSU-Arkansas to 12/19. Have bama and LSU okay 11/21 and then Florida and LSU still play 12/12. No advantage for the title game

This makes the most sense, but will they make the decision quick enough. Really want to play this game. Too many corn dogs celebrating the postponement.

That puts UA in 2 straight road games leading into the SECCG. Road game travel causes higher risk of players getting covid. See my post at top of this page.

Aaron Suttles
@AaronSuttles
This whole situation is just a mess. There are some within Alabama who are not happy with how this played out.

Judging from that tweet, LSU either has a real lack of management when it comes to Covid protocols or they purposely dragged this situation out.

LINK ]Alabama-LSU game postponed due to COVID-19 issues for Tigers (BOL)

quote:

... Per the SEC, because LSU has a game tentatively scheduled for Dec. 12, the opportunity to reschedule the Alabama at LSU game will need to be evaluated. The rescheduling of games on the remaining SEC football schedule may include Dec. 19 as a playing date...

The Alabama-LSU game wasn’t the only SEC game affected by the COVID-19 pandemic this week. The Auburn-Mississippi State and Tennessee-Texas A&M games were postponed due to positive tests and subsequent quarantining of individuals at Auburn, State and Texas A&M. The games between the four teams have been tentatively rescheduled for Dec. 12...

ETA: Best rescheduling option

It's gonna be funny when they reschedule it for 12/5 and we still play the game and clinch the West in Death Valley.
