I’m very shocked about sending the kids home in the middle of a season when we are trying to avoid too much outside contact. That’s goes for all teams. Just doesn’t make sense to me.. but what in 2020 has

Saban is talking as if there is game on Saturday. I suspect LSU has few case of players being positive but nothing that will cause game to be canceled.

Saban on RB Trey Sanders: He underwent successful surgery and we expect him to have a full recovery. But we expect him to be out "indefinitely." "He's gonna be OK, but it's some serious stuff."

Poor guy. He has to be heartbroken

Saban on guidelines for players during the bye week: "The one place our players were allowed to go was home, and that's it. If you weren't going home, you needed to stay here and be in your bubble."

Saban said he didn't want his players to leave their bubble, but he didn't have the heart to tell them they couldn't go home. So their options were to stay in Tuscaloosa in their bubble, or go home.

I wonder if they have the results yet from testing all the players who just got back to campus after going home for the weekend.

I’m sure division games would be prioritized on the makeup. We’d play LSU and the LSU-Fla game would probably be canceled.

Confirmed that LSU has a COVID situation.

Brooks Kubena just now from O's presser:

quote:

Ed Orgeron says #LSU has players that have COVID and are quarantining. Does not say who or how many.

Wilson Alexander tweet:

quote:

Ed Orgeron said LSU has starters quarantined. He didn’t specify who and said the situation is “fluid.” Right now, LSU still plans to play Alabama.

FYI, some LSU fan on the Reddit college football board claimed a week ago that LSU was planning on slowly rolling out additional COVID positives throughout this week to avoid playing us. It was posed as "I have heard that this is the plan" and not speculation.

Avoiding a likely 40+ point obliteration at home denies us recruiting fodder and they know we lose a lot this year and hope they can beat us again next year and reframe the narrative. It may all be a big coincidence, but pulling a stunt like this for the sake of perception is 100% in line with how O operates.

LSU is probably eager to cancel the game. Probably won’t know anything more for another few days

Already lost Trey Sanders because of it.

His brother turned left in front of oncoming traffic. That could just as easily have happened if he was riding around with another player in Tuscaloosa. Players aren't in bubble wrap. Accidents happen sometimes.
