If he was so deadly then why would he transferred.

I will say he did beat out Kedon Slovis (3500 yards, 72% completion, 30 tds, 9 ints) before getting injured in week 1 and was a consensus 5-star. Georgia is also like Bama in that if they have pretty good qb play then they are probably gonna be a top-10 team

He didn't "beat out" Kedon. Kedon was an Early Enrollee but still a year behind as JT also was an EE, on top of JT being the returning starter and a Mater Dei QB who was promised the job by Helton for recruiting purposes.

JT's pretty trash and immobile. Anything with the semblance of a pass rush will eat him alive. His "hyped" 2019 game was him checking down 90% of the time, with a 6.0 YPA through 34 attempts at half. Kedon is basically a 3* in the rough guy who was under recruited but likely will be a first rounder in another year. Fantastic arm that threw for 370 in his first start, and he's not afraid to throw deep. His only real concern is concussions.

Just for reference: Kedon's Freshman year gamelog and JT''s. There was a lot more to it than Graham Harrell becoming OC.

Fun fact: JT and Jack Sears were neck and neck in spring. Helton put Sears 4th on the depth chart to force a transfer and avoid a split team. Lo and behold, JT tears his ACL and Helton's immediately at Sears doorstep trying get him to come back. Most idiotic coach i've ever seen.

From what I’ve seen Slovis is also really savy in his movement in and out of the pocket. Sometimes holds on to the ball too long but a genuine playmaker. Was gonna be a great litmus test for our D

Lot of people were hating on Javon for his "lack of speed"

I just saw this article and was coming in to start talking trash . You add speed to Javon's elite hands and he is going to be a terror.

247 had his 40 speed listed as 4.73. But what a lot of people don't seem to understand is that most of these HS kids aren't ever trained how to run a 40. You can easily shave off .2 to .3 seconds just by using proper technique.

Not to mention the fact that we now have someone who specializes in speed in Dr. Rhea. Just think of the improvement that Dr. Rhea can make with these guys once he gets a full off season with some face to face time with them.

In fairness, Dr. Rhea's tweet said Jayvon had the fastest speed of the day. It didn't say whether or not Waddle even ran yesterday. I would be shocked (pleasantly so though) if he could consistantly beat Waddle in a foot race. Heck, Ruggs could barely beat Waddle, and Ruggs may have been the fastest player Bama has had in a long time.

But regardless, it is very impressive that Jayvon has been impressing as much as he apparently has. I can't wait to see him in action.

Javon seems like an outstanding receiver only question was his speed and now he has answered that . Yup he is going to be very good.

The Colonial Athletic Association just pulled the plug on fall sports becoming the 4th league to do so along with the Ivy, Patriot, and MEAC.
