Why would Saban hold a Press conference if Tua was coming back?

You don't need a press conference with Saban to announce you're staying. Just my thought.

Come on Cobra you should know better by now. I think I have been nearly as accurate on Alabama related predictions as The insiders and I say up front I’m pulling them out of my arse.

I don’t think usual rules apply to anything anymore. One reason could be because he is such a high profile guy? Why would he get the insurance and tell the staff he was coming back? Although the meeting yesterday could have changed it all. I’m sure I’ll hear something soon.

Well, Saban does routinely hold a press conference every year with the draft eligible players. Of course, a few have already announced. Who knows. We have some that said they were staying and some that said they were leaving. Either way, good luck to Tua.

There is only one way to really discern between someone who is full of shite but just really good at reading the tea leaves and making up believable stories and someone who truly has legitimate inside info. The latter will call stuff that is totally off the radar and call it months in advance. The former will always pop up at the 11th hour peddling an interesting story, and then give another interesting story about how things changed when their original prediction turns out to be wrong.

I have a feeling he is staying, I could be wrong but I think Saban is there to answer questions about the injury and what they think the timetable is for him.

Antoine Caldwell might be the only player who has had a PC with Saban to say he’s returning.
Don’t blame Tua one bit. It’s a tougher decision than most people think but you gotta think that if it’s a tie at all ends then it’s probably best if he goes pro.
That said, maybe he pulls a Peyton and surprises us all.

It's 2008 all over again...Hopefully Nick and staff can coach the roster up and a few of these newcomers can help right off the bat. We'll see.

Yep, that is the press conference Saban has to announce players leaving, if Tua is there, he is gone.

I'll add I don't blame Boz for what he gave us. I'm sure that with the emotion of the season and being together for the bowl stuff a lot of guys were feeling it about coming back.
But then they get home, look at it with a sober mind and realize that maybe they need to go get the money and move on and things change.

Why would Tua tell the staff he is coming back on Thursday before having the important doctors appointment on Friday?
