Yup. Saban trusting a redshirt freshman enough to put him in to take direct snaps is a pretty big deal. He’ll have a big role next season

Don’t take anything away from that. They haven’t said a word to the staff after the original post of them staying. With at least Tua I know something would be said if he was leaving. No way he would shock the coaches.

Mack needs to stay the frick away from anything related to Alabama football. He’s persona non grata in my book.

I really wish I hadn't told the guys at work Friday all the players that I heard were coming back.
Monday will be rough. I should have kept it to myself. No way to know for sure what the players might do.

I think a lot of these guys in their heart want to come back and maybe intended to. But season ends and you get away and start taking to folks and family and things change.

I have no doubt that a lot of their hearts want to come back one more year but their brains are saying take the money. Cant say that I blame them. They have worked their asses off to get to this point when all it takes is one freak injury to take it all away

I agree and disagree. I don't like Mack. But I wouldn't describe him as a cancer. He's simply a guy for whom football isn't a priority. Football is just something he does. It's something that he's always been good at so he just cruises on his natural ability and athleticism. It's why he was successful before his junior year and now in his rookie season but sucked as the mike linebacker his junior year. Being the Mike takes a lot of time, effort, and study. He'd rather post on social media. He's not a bad guy, just not a role model I'd want my kid wanting to emulate.

Depends entirely on who you ask. I'm getting whiplash from all the different information getting posted on who's staying and who's going.

Thread Enhancement Notice:

A new Roster/Depth link on next to last line of Football Recruiting & Roster thread's 1st post now opens a new 2020 Projected Roster post.

It's a work-in-progress. It projects the expected returnees, potential additional signees and the potential additional departures needed to fit all new 2020 scholarship enrollees within the 85 limit. It will be continually updated when these become certain.

Saban must have let Riggs know so that he could draft him.

If it is Ruggs intention to enter the draft that was really lousy of Mack Wilson to make the announcement for him. It seemed he was all about himself the last few months he was here. I guess this is another example.
Whatever Henry decides, I wish him the best and appreciate all his hard work and achievements here at Bama! Roll Tide Forever Ruggs!

Maybe the dynasty really is dead. The Patriots just lost in the wildcard round to the Titans 20-13.
