Yeah it's pretty odd how people have their preferences.

Burton plays very well when he is locked in and talking. That isn't the problem. We just need him to not cross the line and we're all good.

Are we just pretending that Burton isn’t a walking unsportsmanlike conduct penalty that slapped the shite out of a sorority girl? If Burton comes in and becomes a permanent captain in just 2 years like Dickerson then I’ll happily eat crow

Did not know about the girl. I despise that kind of behavior.

I think some misunderstand what I’m saying. I do not support trash talking at all, especially when it provokes a flag. I.e., I did not like it with LD, his stupidity and selfishness helped cost Alabama the 19 LSU game, nor do I like it with JB, even though his actions have not been as costly YET. I cringe almost every time he makes a play, embarrassed and dreading the possibility of a big flag.

My point was that such actions by BOTH are bad.

Nevertheless, I do appreciate the efforts and contributions of both players to the program and their specific teams. I truly wish them well in their lives and careers.

changing the subject but how many series have we had where we went 75 plus yards and controlled the ball for 5-7 minutes without getting an explosive play. It also ended with a TD. This is what concerns me against the teams with a great D and an explosive type player at QB. Just short bursts of 5-10 yards per play that took time off the clock.

Joe Milton isn't what I would describe as "explosive". To me, the trick with Tennessee is committing to stopping the run (their bread and butter this year) and keeping a spy on Milton. For some weird reason, A&M seemed to think the Vols were going to pass on almost every play. They were TOTALLY unprepared.

Milton CAN throw the ball but he's a mere shadow of what Hendon Hooker was last year.

Let's include the Tennessee fans pouring beer on Kerry Goode, who is confined to a wheelchair. And we should note that none of those Tennessee fans on the field were supposed to be there - and definitely not harassing our players and coaches.

If it were some frat bro I wouldn’t give a rats arse. Talk shite get hit. But slapping or pushing a woman screams poor impulse control

Why am I supposed to pretend that the guy isn’t constantly tightroping the line of getting a personal foul?

The longest TD drive of the year in terms of plays was 12 against Miss State

The longest TD drive in terms of yards was 84 against USF

The longest TD drive in terms of time was 5:56 against USF (not the 84 yard TD drive from before).

I have a chart of all the TD drives I just made if anyone wants to see it.

Bama has only had 3 drives over 5:00. The best drive in terms of taking time off the clock and not relying on big plays was against Miss State. One drive went 75 yards in 12 plays with the longest play being 19 yards and taking 5:19 off the clock. Bama also had a 10 play, 83 yard drive against Arkansas that took 5:16 off the clock.

I agree. I am always holding my breath after he makes a big play.

Me neither. I don't recall ever hearing anything negative about Williams.

On this same subject. I looked it up and we have only scored on the first drive twice. MTSU, where I think we only went 2 drives without scoring one punt one end of half, and Ole Miss.

The short memories is why I always do those posts reminding people..

We win a NC with Burton starring and in two seasons people will forget they shat on him as well.

Jamo was shat on, people made threads and all that is just forgotten

Downvote away bitches. Truth hurts

There is no doubt about it, we will have to get better the next 3 weeks if we want to win both of these games. Most of the problems that we have to fix are totally fixable, but will it happen?

I think that we have to get Jam and Justice involved more for our running game to take off. I think that would be a big step in fixing that problem.

I think that we have to get some help for our left tackle.

Jalen has to be smarter and more aware in the pocket and not take unnecessary losses.

And the WRs have to consistently catch the ball.

We do all that, then watch out.

Well I mean its not exactly a secret that we take an incredible number of sacks, have far too many false start penalties and struggle to run the ball with any consistency.

A run based offense that does those things is never going to be able to sustain drives.

Absent explosive plays we wouldn't have an offense at all right now.

Burton is a "look at me" player and has been since he was issued jocks and socks at Bama.

He has no class and he's not looking to acquire any at this point.
