Who said that? I mean, he clearly has an attitude problem. He would probably be the first to tell us that. Nobody wants him to get a penalty is all. I havent seen any thuggish behavior. He hasnt thrown gang signs like Billingsley. He doesnt have poor body language. He is just a hot head. Steve Smith was a hot head too. Nobody really cares, just dont get penalties. Please.

Dickerson was a hot head and there were times when we were worried about him getting penalties. Burton does his talking when all eyes are on him, usually after he catches the ball. Dickerson did his talking when the ball wss fifty yards up field and the lineman are laying in a big pile on the ground. There is a difference in optics and it doesnt have anything to do with race, like your post suggests.

Thought it was interesting when Saban said Quandarrius Robinson is one of the best special teams player we've ever had.

I keep seeing articles pop up that Saban is talking about J Haynes playing more this week. Any word on this from from those in the know.

I love the way he runs but he got blasted on a pass rush Saturday. I'm sure they desperately want to get him on the field because of how explosive a runner he is, but the pass blocking issues as a collective make it hard to pick and choose when to do it (without a giant blinking red light that says RUN COMING).

There still needs to be a serious cost/benefit analysis done by the staff when it comes to Haynes and Miller. I mean as far as I can tell they are both completely incompetent when it comes to blitz pickup, but it's not like Jase and Roydell are brick walls back there or anything. But, I would also say that from what I've seen Miller and Haynes are more likely to produce big plays on the ground and turn shitty blocking into modest gains. Jase has some shiftiness, but he doesn't have the burst to explode through a little sliver of daylight that is often going to be the best running lane our OL produces.

100% - and I think (hope?) that has started as they both definitely got more run last weekend.

They are both true threats for big games on outside runs - much more than Jase and Roydell (and Haynes has shown ability to wait and pick holes on the interior as well). Jase is a very good interior runner, but Jam and Haynes give us something outside that the other guys don't have.

You just have fans who hate it because they don't understand it. It's especially confusing when some complain we don't have vocal passionate players then turn around and demonize any player they don't like that shows these characteristics.

Lol. I understand that referees are often separating him fine the DB post play. I understand we had a late penalty because a team mate was trying to shut him up. You can be vocal and emotional without running your mouth at the opposition constantly. But you know better.

I think they should use them as left tackle help on passing downs. That will get them on the field and not make it obvious, while allowing a blocking TE to pick up blitzers.

Not so much as in Burton not backing up his talk? I’d say he’s been playing really well.

For the trading card collector in your life - a commemorative card celebrating Coach Saban’s 200th win at Bama (Arkansas win). Only available for order until Friday. Based on the original announcement, I’m guessing the proceeds benefit Yea Alabama (as does the “Nick at noon” series this year).

One of these guys backed up their trash talk. The other one....not so much.
I wish we had Dickerson on the team right now a lot more than Burton
