I wouldn’t pay attention to that forecast yet.

The other obvious data point to look at is Wisconsin who they beat 31-7 (Bama won 38-14 with backups in late) while allowing only 167 yards (Bama allowed 208) and putting up 388 (Bama hit 454).
-So in a game where Bama pulled their starters and Mendoza played virtually the whole way Bama looked slightly better

To be fair, we pulled the backups really late in that game. Like with less than six minutes left in the fourth.

Their backup only threw one pass so at worst it’s at parity.

that 92 Miami should have blown us out, too.

Not really. Miami was all hype but looked lackluster all year.

Ryan Williams dropped a sure fire touchdown pass in the end zone that would have made it 42-7. That game could and should have easily been much worse than what it ended up being. And we did it without Jam Miller in the lineup.

Statistically IU should blow us out of the water and they may BUT….

They have to play the game, first. We know 100% that these stats are padded by weaker competition.

We also know that Bama has played a gauntlet this year but all that is predicated on preseason polls which shouldn’t exist.

We will see!

So they could beat OSU head up but you think they would lose 4 in our conference? Lol okay.

Absolutely, I do. You’re talking about one game.

I’m talking about a slate of games. They’re good enough to beat OSU in one game- especially when OSU screws around and helps them out.

I don’t think they could win more than 8 games playing Alabama, Georgia, Auburn, LSU, TAMU, Texas, Missouri, Vanderbilt, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Ole Miss, Tennessee, et. al., week in and week out.

In fact, take out Alabama, Georgia, and OU, and I still don’t think they can win more than 8 games. They don’t have the depth.

I’m not impressed with them barely beating an OSU team who pretty much gave them the game after a schedule full of schools like Peabody State Institute of HVAC Maintenance for the Deaf and Blind.

Go ahead and crown them if you want to, though. Maybe we should forfeit.

Indiana basically played one credible opponent per month. I wish Alabama could have an ideally spread out schedule like they got.

Underrated offense that can really air it out. Unaffected by crowd noise. Perfected the silent count. Best play is the no look pass.

Nice, they'd beat Auburn for sure even in Jordan Hare.

Some of you are absolutely weird. There is nothing wrong with giving them credit for being a very good team while giving your team credit for being more proven and believing your team can and will beat their team.

They have beaten two playoff teams and last I checked Texas A&M didn't lose 4 games with their schedule neither did Texas who lost to the OSU team they beat or Vandy who lost to Texas.

Making odd blanket statements to disrespect other teams is just as lame as their fans assuming they will blow by us because we struggled against very good defenses, dealing with injury and poor play by key offensive players.

-This comes down to whether the Big Ten has been so bad in the middle to bottom of the conference that a team like Indiana has exploited bad teams to run out exceptional adjusted numbers because if not they're easily the best team in the nation and really lack any major flaw despite not having elite NFL talent
-I suspect its some of both where they're really good, but not quite as good as the data would suggest because of just how bad some of their opponents have been and they played absolutely no one out of conference that would give us something to baseline them against.

This ^^. This is where stats can be manipulated.

Can you pull out the teams Indiana played that weren't .500 or better. At least try to use teams similar to the teams bama has played.... If possible.

Indiana is a very good, well coached and a schematically disciplined team. Very rarely do you see them make mistakes. I don’t see them losing 4 games if they played our schedule. Maybe 2-3 losses at the most. If we are healthy and play our best, we should win! We have better athletes than they do and we are deeper. We have to be on top of our game because as I said earlier, they just don’t make mistakes.

Looks like the team is healthier than they’ve been in a while. Other than the obvious players who are out for the season everyone was at practice today and they looked full go.

No. But I’m sure that they will probably fly out tomorrow. Just to get over the jet lag and time change.

This IU team would lose 4 games playing an SEC schedule.

Team that beat Ohio State and won at Oregon by 2 scores while beating everyone else by an average of 30 in the B1G would struggle to beat Mizzou and South Carolina.

It’s ok to say they’re a really good team that we can also beat. The two things are not mutually exclusive.
