7-0

Welp.

Looks like we may be looking for a new head coach this offseason.

ETA: 9-0. I'm out.

Truth comes out, after going 14-0 against Hoover and Spain Park, we’re exposed.

Staring down 10-12 wins in conference unless we get G Mac back and figure out a rotation.

It's 12-0 in the 4th and the based are loaded with 1 out.

I mean LOL what a pathetic pile of dog shite.

I gave Bo a pass for the first few years because Goff burned the program to the ground and salted the earth. But he's had plenty of time and has his players now. And based on recruiting he's got the talent to compete despite the limitations Alabama faces that most schools don't. It's now on his coaching. He can't lose series to teams like this.

And this is baseball so you can have bad nights. But you don't get that benefit when you schedule such a transparently pathetic on purpose schedule built to pad in some wins instead of preparing your team for the toughest league in the country.

So under the new rules we had to request to keep playing the game and not use run rule I guess hu?

That's not the pit of embarrassment or anything.

I hope I have to eat my words by the end of the year, but Bo should have got rid of Jason Jackson after last year.

Under his program, our Friday night starters have had significant injuries two years in a row.

By the time Sunday rolls around, we’re constantly scratching and crawling for any available arm out of the pen.

We’re lucky to get 5 innings out of our Saturday and Sunday guys.

We literally don’t have a starting rotation going into conference play.

Hitt and McNairy combined for 6.2 innings and gave up 12 runs. Hitt has been a major disappointment after all of the pre-season hype. McNairy has never really been overly-impressive as a starter.

At some point, Holman has to be considered for a weekend starting role. He’s looked consistently sharp.

It’s possible that GMac will be back for the Florida series. I don’t know what his role will be for his first series, but we will see.

Columbia was definitely not a cupcake team by any means. That was a good baseball team. Those boys hit the baseball.

I am not buying that old story. The guy was here one year. I can't think of any way that a guy can do 6 years worth of damage in one year. I can't see him doing three years of damage in one year. My feeling is that Bo has just not got what it takes. Nothing personal. He just is not the guy, let's move on.

Goff was literally trying to illegally revoke player's scholarships and had burned bridges with every high school coach in the state. It was a complete shite show.

Coupled with the fact that Bama has one of (if not THE) least funded baseball programs in the conference makes it an uphill challenge to say the least. (referencing scholarships and educational assistance)

Having said that - this is a deep and experienced team. Can’t explain the collapse in pitching that looked so promising a few weeks ago. Getting smoked by an Ivy League program doesn’t give warm fuzzies heading into conference play.

Tuesday at South Alabama followed by Thursday/Friday/Saturday at UF awaits next week.
