Holy shite that was insane

Pinkney just robbed a HR by having it go in his glove, glove over wall, ball bounces high in the air, and then he caught it

AAAA? Is that a term for guys who bounce between AAA and the league?

Yeah, basically. A guy that has stuff that plays at the AAA level, but isn't really good enough to ever be that great at the major league level.

I am super impressed by the job Bohannon is doing. Good coach. Lock him in.

Glorious afternoon in the ballpark. May the bats be as hot the rest of the season! Incredible defensive plays by Wilson and Pinckney (and others). Roll Tide!

No. 23 Alabama Baseball Downs Troy, 9-1

The Crimson Tide had one of its best all-around performances of the season both on the mound and in the batter's box against the Trojans

What's the deal with Prielipp?

Per Coach Bohannon’s post game press conference, Prielipp will not be pitching this upcoming weekend. Ras will go Friday, Dylan Smith will move to Saturday and Jean to Sunday. He said they are still thinking Prielipp’s ‘medical condition’ is a short term thing.

It’s starting to feel a bit ominous....

Perhaps he had it at some point prior to the start of the season, but he has been in the dugout the entire time (including the night that Coach Bohannon made the first announcement that he wouldn’t pitch). He was in the post game high five line again after yesterday’s game.

Alabama-Troy baseball game makes ESPN Top 10 plays

Logan Cerny’s ninth-inning shot appeared to clear the wall only to have Alabama’s Andrew Pinckney reach over and catch the ball. Where things get interesting, though, is Pinckney trapped the ball in his glove only to have it pop out and catch it on the rebound.

I wish it was COVID but as Fan said he's been in the dugout the whole time, so it's pretty clearly not COVID.

Well if it's a UCL tear they'd know about it and wouldn't drag it out. Could just be a blister or a torn up fingernail that needs to grow back.

That would be the best case scenario and hopefully that's all it is.

Does Bohannon seem like the type to call something like that a "medical condition" though? He's always struck me more as a pretty straightforward guy and if it was a blister he would just say it's a blister. We all (or at least I did) just assumed it was covid because it was labeled as a "medical condition" and that has kind of been the code word for covid from Alabama through football and basketball season.

But with Prielipp being around the team that pretty much has to rule covid out. Bo could be gaming the system a little bit by just using "medical condition" so that he doesn't have to actually say what's wrong with him due to the whole personal health, private info, we don't tell people it's actually covid thing we've been doing. But a blister or a fingernail isn't really something that you would want or need to "hide" as an injury from the opposition.

If he's only supposed to be out for "a short spell" it can't be anything too serious. Maybe it is just a blister/nail/dead arm thing, but the "medical condition" phrase is curious.

I hope it isn't dead arm.

Could be mono or something. He's set to be a top 10 draft pick and multi-millionaire in 15 months so he probably has to actually make an effort not to get laid.
