No way! Really?

Alabama Baseball: Game Ball Winners From Wright State Series

The Alabama Crimson Tide had another successful early-season weekend, grabbing a series sweep from the visiting Wright State Raiders in Tuscaloosa. While the Tide earned three wins, the Raiders did not make it easy. The final two games in the series were decided by one run each, with Alabama’s bats coming through when it mattered most.

At least now we can fully concentrate on the basketball game.... I imagine this one will ultimately be rescheduled

quote:

The Alabama-UAB baseball game scheduled for Tuesday, March 2, has been canceled due to weather conditions.

The two teams were originally scheduled for a 6 p.m. CT first pitch this evening at Regions Field. A makeup date for the game has yet to be announced. Alabama and UAB are still set to meet on Tuesday, May 11, at 6 p.m. in Tuscaloosa.

For those who are interested, this SEC recap is a bit more in depth than the one posted above. Bama snippet below - the rest of the SEC teams are in the link.

SEC Baseball weekend recap 3-2-21

quote:

Alabama has still only been tagged once this season, as they sit 7-1 after a weekend’s sweep of Wright State. The Raiders played them close each time, but the Tide were able to net victories in all three games. ‘Bama walked off in the 11th inning in Saturday’s 8-7 win, off an RBI single by William Hamiter. Owen Diodati had a lengthy hit streak snapped in that 8-7 win as well, on a sourer note. Game 2’s 1-0 win was driven by a hit by Sam Praytor, and Dylan Smith struck out seven hitters, a career-best mark for the Tide hurler.
