Layups and free throws 2 of the most fundamental plays in basketball and Bama can’t buy any.
How many missed layups? Feels like 20.

Is this a surprise?
33 points in the half. What a joke

Considering we're shooting 2-14 from three this could be much worse to end the half

Sears and Nelson shots aren’t even close. Ugly!

Nelson at least rebounded well.. Sears did nothing that half

we just can’t run any offense
When do we ever? Lock up 1on 1 and it’s not hard to defend 4 on the perimeter and iso ball.

I’m not worried, it stays like this until 7-6 mins left then I’ll get worried.
Down 9 with our 3 pt ability is nothing
Need assists though, we’ve got no shot creation via assists on offense. Offense was stagnant, give credit to Barn though. They’re fricking good
Oats has to dial up some more plays at half to get easy shots

All is not lost for sure, we just have to stop making stupid decisions. Should have gone into half with the lead but totally fell apart those last 2 minutes.
Pearl just said we're "better from 3 than [we] are from 2" so I hope they actually believe that and intend to primarily defend the 3.

Yeah we're not taking advantage on fast breaks. Left a couple guys just wide open under the basket while Auburn got their defense set.

Nelson has 6 points, 7 rebounds, and 1 assist. He was too tired towards the end of the half and could barely fricking move. Nate left him out there too long

Back to our patented suck down the stretch to end a half.
Posted on 2/15/25 at 4:22 pm to A-TOWNUAFAN
We can play with them in stretches they have been more consistent all season this result at half is not surprising to me Bama can win but they will have to do something that’s been tough all year which is be consistent

Did not feel like we took 14 3s but to only hit 2 has really hurt us. Auburn is playing good defense, but we have to get some movement and get some open 3s
Seems like we tightened up on defense for the middle part of the first half but have to up the intensity.

We only have 4 TO's....maybe that's the problem
Posted on 2/15/25 at 4:24 pm to imjustafatkid
Yeah I mean this is just a D level half and we’re only down 9.
Gonna need at least a B level performance in the 2H or it’s not in the cards this afternoon.

We sold our offensive ability to limit turnovers lol

Auburn is playing some high intensity defense without fouling too much. I think as they fatigue a bit, shots will open up.
Posted on 2/15/25 at 4:26 pm to Bamafan4evr12
Personally I think Oats harping on turnovers may have backfired. There have been some open looks off cuts that we turned down. We are being too tentative with the ball now.

Awful shot selection the last two minutes
