Seems like things have gone radio silent out of Tuscaloosa. Anybody got any intel on what the team is up to? Injuries? Has a practice schedule been made public? Any media viewing for practice?

Expect some shifting on the OL.

Everyone is healthy who is supposed to be.

Team is working out, conditioning, and watching film until the 15th.

Team morale is good, Saban morale is really good, he had a good look in the mirror been hearing he is re energized.

By shifting along the offensive line I hope that includes some new personal. Its a given that Clemson main DT would be better handle by Williams,Willis,or even move Boz to OG and let our back up center start.
We could also move Womack inside and let Willis play tackle. We really should take more advantage of our Depth and keep fresh bodies at OG and right tackle.

There will be some trial runs with a few combos but the one I most recently heard was Jonah to center experiment.

Wills and Leatherwood at Tackle.

We will see. Lot's of time to test.

Ive wanted to use Williams back at OG based on an opponent and not necessarily permanent move.
I would say moving him to center would mean having both leatherwood and Willis at the tackle spots along with moving
Womack inside with Boz also playing guard. Now that would make us real strong inside and offset Wilkins.
Also Williams foot speed will allow him to get to there LB'ers much quicker.
I don't see us locking into that lineup all game. But using it based on possession and field position could/would be great.
Again that depth has been there and I cant figure out why we haven't use it based on red zone or goal-line etc.

That'd be interesting. I don't think that we've got anybody else that would give Lawrence a second's worth of trouble in the middle, and if we can't engage him, our run game's in BIG trouble.

I doubt they move their most experienced edge protector inside for just 2 games. Especially to the most complicated position on the line as far as assignment and calls go.

Now I could see it next year, it's a gaping hole. I just don't see enough time to make such a brazen move...

he has already worked there. They do line combinations almost every practice.

I think they know there is an issue and will try and fix it. Sort of like putting Kirven in last year.

Practice reps are one thing, playing in the biggest game of the year is another. Jonah played LG in a game, but that was a very much in hand one.

There is also such thing as meddling too much...

We haven't meddled at all this year on the OL, which obviously after seeing them play better DL's the last month or so we know it's an issue.

I didn't watch the boogs a ton this year, but didn't Auburn move their lineman around a bunch this year and it ended up working well for them?

They've benched their tackles several times and moved Austin Golson around.

Golson played Tackle at Ole Miss before moving inside at Auburn in the year he sat out...

So I would guess Cotton and Piersbacher FINALLY get benched. Leatherwood and Wills at tackle,Bozeman at C(cant see us changing centers this late), and Williams and Womack at Guard.

That is a solid O-line and it should have happened coming out of the bye week.

Bama can ride that line to a NC.

I hope the experiment goes well because that is the OL I would chose.

You know Saban likes to remain loyal to folks... Hopefully, he'll realize that he has to put the best players on the field at times.
