If Coker transfers in I'm pretty sure he will get the nod. No use transferring if that's not the case.

At 6'5 230, he would be our biggest QB. He can also move. From what I've seen of him this season and during FSUs spring game, he's got a pretty good arm as well.

Which leads to an interesting question, what is Blake Sims potential? I have liked what I have seen at times. Seems to take a few throws to get warmed up and then a nice rythym. I have read here he wont start, I am not so sure. Saban seems to like him and he has waited his turn. Is there even any evidence of a viable alternative?

He was brought in to be a RB/DB/WR?

Good point......Could be why were not seeing any of the others. However, that doesn't fit Sabans M.O. With the exception of noseguards, he seems to prefer guys that have been in his system. I think Blake may still get his chance to start, at least early in the season.

Coker isn't coming unless he starts you realize he is running "our system" at FSU right at least a version of it?

Your probably right. If he comes it will be with some assurances. Would he be here in the spring?

It's to let him know that he should leave the program, he ain't in the cards for Bama's future.

He sucks.

There's a reason why he only had one offer from an in-state program, that being a terrible North Texas program at the time, despite playing on a highly visible high school power.

June Jones, who's actually very good at evaluating QBs, wouldn't even touch him at SMU.

He, like Phillip Ely, never had any business getting a scholarship to Alabama.

Maybe he does suck but he looked a hell of a lot better than Sims on A-day

And he still looked horrible.

Sims was terrible on ADay, but Saban said that was totally different than the improvement he had shown in practice.

Morris sucks in ADay, in scrimmages, and at regular practices. He needs to transfer to Rice or something for next year.

Did you watch the whole A-day game? He made some really good throws particularly on the last drive which wasn't shown on TV

Surely Sims has earned every right at this point to get a shot at Qb next year. Not sure why he is dismissed so easily

he can not run the entire offense and is very one dimensional. they would stack the box on him daring him to throw and unlike AJ who can tear them a new one. Sims can't. That is all

How do you know this, is it because Sims comes in garbage time and everyone knows we are running the football. I think it's a bit premature to say he can't till you give him a try.

Most of you probably call out every Qb out and that is expected. Just don't see how you dismiss him when he has never played a meaningful snap.

It is either him or Bateman next year.

It has nothing to do with him being a QB but seriously you think he is magically going to become a serviceable QB when he wasn't brought in to be one? It isn't a matter of him needing to learn, it is a matter of he has problems throwing a football. He was brought in to be a athlete. Is he serviceable as a kill the clock back up/change of pace with the zone read? sure. Is he capable of running our offense? no.
