Even for a series in garbage time at any point in the year? Didnt he give AJ some run as a RS freshman with the whole butt slap? Any clue into the staffs thoughts

They don't anticipate him ever getting meaningful snaps, so getting him garbage time experience is pointless.

Made a lot of mental mistakes at A-Day. Saban called him Alex. I'm guessing he is gone.

Same reason we didn't see AJ his Freshman year. Saban said on Hey Coach earlier this year that AJ was the "second string" QB that year but wanted to save his eligibility. Aren't you glad he did.

Eligibility has nothing to do with Morris. He already redshirted last year.

Only thing I can think of is he lacks the pocket mobility that Nuss likes. Not that we are ever going to feature a dual threat QB but if you are a pro style guy you have to be at least as mobile as AJ.

Which leads to an interesting question, what is Blake Sims potential? I have liked what I have seen at times. Seems to take a few throws to get warmed up and then a nice rythym. I have read here he wont start, I am not so sure. Saban seems to like him and he has waited his turn. Is there even any evidence of a viable alternative?
