Cannot express how happy I am that Byrne has hit the ground running on this. Just an absolutely awesome job.

We had 1 P5 OOC home game from 2010-2019

We will have 5 from 2020-2029 (and they don't start until 2023)

2023 - vs Texas
2025 - vs Wisconsin
2026 - vs Florida St
2027 - vs West Virginia
2029 - vs Notre Dame

What I don't like currently about the CFP (which could easily change at any time, including this year) is that I still get the appearance that they value wins. Period.
Therefore, if you go 4-0 OOC v. Louisiana Tech, Chattanooga, Sam houston State, and Southern Miss, you're better off than going 3-1 OOC with a road loss at a Oklahoma.

Damn. That will be fun but tough. Hopefully Pruitt will be settled in and have things rolling by then.

Not sure I agree with this. They have shown a willingness to put in one loss teams. Especially if that loss is to a quality opponent. OSU got in the first year after losing to Virginia Tech at home. If you go on to win your conference, the loss really doesn't factor in a ton.

Oregon has all been written off this year for losing at the last minute to Auburn. Had they just played Portland State instead, they'd be in the CFP. Bama, IMO, benefited from tOSU having lost to Oklahoma in '17. Had they just played Toledo instead, the Buckeyes would have only had one loss (a bad one though) and been a conference champion. Alabama may have been left out.

Fair points. I still think Oregon can get in though. Bama definitely benefited from OSU losing, but OSU was a two loss team and one of them was shitty.

Ultimately though, I think every team can afford one slip up to a quality opponent and still get in, as long as you get a couple of quality wins later. Which is why I believe Oregon still has a chance, especially if they blow out USC and beat a one loss Utah team for the league title.

If you lose twice, then you probably shouldn't be in anyways.

This is the type of matchup I am TALKING about. Well done, on both sides.

Hoping one of these OOC games sticks, kinda like the PSU series back in the day.

Would be fun to go back and forth with FSU.

Is @USF a misprint? If not, WTF?

2 for 1 agreement - 2 in Tuscaloosa, 1 in Tampa in a game where we play in a NFL stadium in Florida and probably take over the stadium

I'm totally fine with it

Yeah, Alabama fans will be there in huge numbers in a nice stadium in a top recruiting area as well; it's almost gaming the system in terms of "away" games.
