Hightower is one of those great players (not this year though) that just can't stay healthy.

That Patriots defense is absolutely gutted.

Does any of our picks from last year start?

The current rookie class? Yeah, Eddie starts for Chicago. Pretty sure Jon Allen started before his injury. Cam Robinson starts at LT for the Jags. Marlon doesn't start, but last I checked they were playing him a fair amount. OJ Howard is one of the 2 TEs Tampa Bay regularly loses, not sure how many games he has started. Reuben starts but has been injured. Does Dalvin start for the Giants? I don't know on that one.

Not only does he start but he is PFF's top graded rookie DT and by quite a bit too.

Anderson played a pretty good amount against the Eagles. It may not have been the whole game, but I watched several drives where he was in on most passing downs. Not sure about Williams though.

Not true. He was on the field a ton Monday night. Washington fans are really liking him so far, especially his overall playing style and attitude. They love Allen as well, and hate he got hurt.

Well I was speaking on the season as a whole. But he was recovering from an injury so probably had something to do with it.

Dalvin Tomlinson is a stud. The guy is just hard to move off the ball and has a high motor. NFL scouts have always loved him and the Giants got a great get.

Mosley's INT return for a TD. Good play. Marlon celebrating with him in the endzone

I think the overall "age" of the Bmore Defense has an effect on Mosley's effectiveness and his issues in coverage.

Suggs isn't the pass rusher he was when CJ was a rookie, so QBs get more time

Weddle is a top 10 S in the league and a future HOFer, but he's in his 30's

Webb is older than he was when CJ was a rookie

The team brass has loaded up on Offense it seems like the last couple of years in the draft.

He's still a high end ILB, just asked to cover a bit more space for longer periods of time and it isn't a shortened zone like it use to be, so when he's 15 yds off the LOS and a TE catches a pass at 5 - 7 yds downfield they get a head full of steam on him, whereas before he was allowed to cover that TE flat inside of 5 - 10 yds and make more break-up plays or quicker tackles. I am sorry if I missed it being mentioned here, but Eddie was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week for his historic performance...

quote:

Jackson returned a fumble 75 yards for a touchdown against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, but that wasn’t all. Later in the game he took an interception back 76 yards for a touchdown.

Jackson is the only player in the history of the NFL to have two defensive return touchdowns of at least 75 yards in a single game. His 151 return yards was only two yards shy of what Chicago’s offense mustered against Carolina.

His outstanding performance came exactly oine year from the day he broke his leg in college. Jackson is only the second rookie safety in the Bears franchise history to win a Defensive Player of the Week Award. The first, Mark Carrier back in 1990.
