So over the weekend I was listening to the radio and they were talking about the draft, and what the Browns needs are. Mingo came up, and the host slammed him. Saying he isn't strong enough, has a tendency to over pursue, and doesn't wrap up. That to me is the difference between out programs. No one is getting through our program not strong enough, and playing with shite technique.

Jamie Collins from Southern Mississippi is better than Mingo, and he actually produced in college.
ETA: Welcome back.

'15 OT Tyler Carr from Southside(AL) is visiting today. Carr has an early offer from Vanderbilt.

Keith Neibuhr of 247 Sports is going to release an article this afternoon regarding Lorenzo Carter and Mekhi Brown. He said he will edit a video to include both of them so people can get a side by side view of their abilities. Should be nice.
Speaking of Carter, LSU finally offered him today.

That board is full of them, but I will combat them one idiot at a time. Starting with that Florida State fool.

It was a pretty neat article kinda comparing the two. From a measurables standpoint, Brown is on track to be right there with Carter, but Carter's explosiveness on the Gridiron and on the Hardwood is what really sets him apart.
That being said, Brown has a chance to reach 5-Star status. Also the guys have a pretty good relationship. They see the similarities in their games and have a mutual respect/fondness for each other.
Brown looks up to Carter as a big bro and has been recruiting Carter to BAMA, LOL!!!!

I'm still trying to get excited about SDH. I saw where Gavin Bryant has grade issues, but he has 2 summers and all next year to get them in order. I'd wait on him.

I think it's a Jon Cook situation with Bryant, he's gonna be buffered until the very end. Just so they can keep him from going elsewhere.
And I could be wrong on Cook not qualifying, but I've seen updates on both Fosters and Paige saying "they just have to finish school". I haven't seen a single thing about Cook...
ETA: And I think Hamilton's best season is yet to come. He's put on good weight, unlike Foster, and has been getting rave reviews at camps as a tackler and in coverage.

quote:
David Cornwell, Norman (Okla.) North
Cornwell, a five-star prospect according to 247Sports and the No. 3 pro-style quarterback prospect in the 247Composite rankings, has a laundry list of offers, most of which he has obtained following the first of the year, when he stood out at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Combine in San Antonio. The 6-foot-5, 230-pound strong-armed Under Armour All-American signal caller has visited a number of programs and doesn’t give away much about what he’s thinking in terms of favorites.
That being said, 247Sports Crystal Ball has a consensus opinion on where he will land. Alabama 100 percent.
quote:
Jacob Park, Goose Creek (S.C.) Stratford
The 6-foot-3, 205-pound Park is extremely gifted physically with good size, a big arm and athletic ability to make plays with his feet. Though Alabama and host of other programs have offered, signs right now point to him landing at Virginia Tech with offensive coordinator Scot Loeffler, who nearly had Park committed when he was on the staff at Auburn. Should the Crimson Tide move heavy on Park, things could get interesting, though.
The 247Sports Crystal Ball has a consensus- Virginia Tech 100 percent.
