Who else are we looking at for safety

Off the top of my head, Hootie Jones and Ronnie Clark. I'm sure we'd like to flip Nick Glass from UGA but IDK how realistic that is.

Just watched Williams' film. Definitely a bit of a different type of Safety than what we've signed in the past. More of an Ed Reed-type.

Ed Reed is much bigger than Williams. He may have the range of Reed, but he needs to hit the weights. Hard.

3 2014 commitments, all at least a composite 4 star. Not bad. Not bad at all.

Ed Reed is 5'11 205lbs now, but was around 170 out of high school. I am not saying Williams is anything remotely like Ed, but he is already taller as a JR.

Trust me, if Williams turns out like Reed I'll be ecstatic. He just needs to hit the weights before I'll commit to that comparison.

I hope you're right though. It would be awesome to have a true ballhawk in the secondary again.

We aren't the only school in the SEC to get a "what the frick" commitment today. LSU just got one from a DE from Florida that doesn't have a 247 profile.

I guess staff evaluations are ahead of the recruiting services by far. Which isn't a surprise.

Chris William's Mom is an Alabama fan

quote:

It wasn’t too difficult to sell his mother, Cassandra Floyd, on Alabama. She grew up in Wetumpka, Ala., and has always pulled for the Tide. Still, she had to make sure that’s where her son really wanted to go and that he wasn’t doing it for her sake.

“I was sitting on the couch, and he came in and said, ‘Mom, I want to commit to Alabama. I said, ‘no you don’t. You just know I like them. That’s why you’re doing it. Don’t do it for me. You have to do it for yourself.’ He was like, ‘Mom, this is what I want to do.’

“It was great for me because I’m an Alabama fan. I’m very proud.”

Kid really isnt a unknown i had read a couple articles on him after the 1st junior day. Laron Landry only weighed 180 coming out of high school as well. It all depends on how much the kid works.

If you're a beer nerd there is some really great beer in Denver. Weed too.

Who here actually thinks we get Roc Thomas? Are we really pushing for him?
