I'd like to land Casher because it would give us another 4-star prospect, but he's gonna bring our average rating per recruit will go down.

The thing you have to wonder about though is not just position spots, but spots in general.
We still have a shot at:
Humphrey
Hootie
Hampton
Tabor
Elam
Wallace
Hall
Carter

Williams is a beast, if he can make the grades, I think folks will be extremely happy with him.

Never disappointed with a commit from a former Barn commit (sends a message that in-state order remains restored).
Also he has shown out at camps.
Not sure what the plan is but if the staff gave him the okay to commit then I have to assume this is a win.

True but arent most assuming Roberts flips and earlier in the thread there was a post about Dominick Jackson having grade issues. We also will have a scholly open if Fanning doesnt come back

Fanning not coming back would help the 85, but not the 25, which would seem to be the larger problem to me.

To be fair the only "wow" guy left on our OL board is Brian Wallace and Casher has no bearing on his recruitment. We're still in great shape for him regardless.
If this is the case then I hate what we're doing. We don't have that many spots left and the last thing I think we need is two more lineman.

Looking back at the 2011 defense...that DL was underrated in terms of assignment football. If Elam gets with this give it a couple of years and it's gonna be like that.

Tim Watts did his forecast: 90% sure Casher commits to us tomorrow

I don't like it either. Only 5 of them can even play at any given time, and it looks like we are going to take 8 or 9 in one class. On the bright side, we should get several great OLs out of it, but we are going to have to pass on a few very good players to take so many OLs this year.

we probably have some kids that wont make it in and also this probably moves the kid from FLA to defense. Hopefully also means we are done with Moseley.

I really don't understand the reasoning if Casher is able to commit. We would only have 3 slots left before the 25 limit. Even assuming we sign 26 or 27, there seems to be way too many elite prospects at positions of immediate need (cb/s/dl/ot) to warrant taking another interior lineman. I mean if we are taking guys as backup plans in case someone decommits then why not go for Roc Thomas or something?

Who all would you consider to be potential grade/flip casualties?
Grades: Bo Scarborough, Dominick Jackson, Chris Williams
Flip: Roberts, Talamaivao, SDH, Miller, Scarborough
Am I forgetting anyone?

Brian Wallace is a stud. He has a higher upside at LT than Cam.

247 has him at 100% to Iowa although it is only two predictions.

I don't see where they're getting Talamaivao as a flip from. He seemed solid, they begin those rumors and he destroyed them. Now they're starting up the rumors again. Seems like filler talk and not legit information.
I also don't understand the Christian Miller flip. He visits UGA and people overreact. I haven't seen one quote that shows he is wavering.

One reason many feel Talamaivao may flip is that he has never visited Tuscaloosa. Ever.

A lot of the California kids apparently hated Kiffin, which kept them away from SC even though it's the school they all want to go to. O is going to pull off every trick in the book to convince them to give him the job, even though anyone with a clue knows there's no chance he has the interim tag removed.

Words don't mean shite. Pay attention to what they do. That's why everyone thinks Roberts has been a done deal to Auburn for a while now.
