FYI because I know some Bama fans were asking about this on the SECr: All credible UGA insiders are saying that the decision has been made to fire Grantham. Could happen in the next few days, could happen after the season. It apparently reached a boiling point today in a coaches' meeting, which started all the rumors.
Recruiting impact would obviously depend on who we hire.

No one, really. He's secondary on Evans, Carter, McMillan, and Miller. I would guess UGA will put a combination of McClendon, Bobo, and Lilly on those guys.
McClendon was already lead on Carter and Lilly for Miller. Olivadotti for Evans and MacMillan.
ETA- the recruiting impact would be more if the search drags out and/or we switch schemes.

Lotta LSU fans conceding Hootie Jones to Bama after an interview he gave recently. Thread on their recruiting board about it.....we shall see I guess. Anyone got a link to interview?

Yeah, they're losing their minds over there.
The amount of hypocrisy they post is alarming. On one hand nobody good should leave their state, but on the other hand other state's top players should leave theirs. We must pay for or coerce Cam Rob, Landon Collins and Hootie to play for Alabama but Tony Brown, Adoree, C. Garrett are definitely not coerced or paid for.
In the past couple of days their obsessions have gotten to dangerous levels. Everything is about Saban or Alabama.

I just read through that thread. A Bama posters tries to inject some logic into the "$abun" stuff and gets ripped immediately. It's just impossoble for them to think the best recruiter in the country is doing a good job of recruiting.

Bamasgot13 is wasting his time. Reason is completely lost on them. If Alabama was handing out stacks of cash to Louisiana players, LSU would have turned us in for it a long fricking time ago.

Pretty much all of them are sad people. It's inconceivable to them that anyone would ever want to play for another program. I'm sure a lot of them think that kids from Alabama who pick UA over LSU only did so because they got paid.
