I assume Hootie is heading to Baton Rouge this weekend to watch the Florida game. Hopefully Big Cam goes too to stay in his ear. In fact, I hope both Cams go.

I don't think anyone knows what Hootie is gonna do and anybody that says they do is talking out of their arse. It's 50/50 at this point.

Then why are you accepting sig/avi bets on the recruiting board?

Cause it looks good for the Tahd

And it's worth it to cause any amount of harassment to the poster he bet with if given the chance

Bucc, this doesn't make any sense. Do they have a shock collar on him?
My guess is that he has a really close relationship with the coaches at LSU. He's been there a bunch obviously and really for a long time was thought to be all LSU from what I can tell, until recently. I'd imagine it goes down something like this. Hootie makes it known to people close to him that he's going to commit. Someone Pro-LSU and in this group called the coaches and said he was about to commit to Bama. The coaches call up Hootie and he answers out of respect and because he does have a long-standing relationship with them. They use guilt, "state pride" and other subtle manipulations to get Hootie to "at least think about it a little longer." They tell him that he owes them that much. And of course being a good kid, he does as they ask and holds off.

I'm guessing that most teams do this to their instate kids they want badly and are thinking of going elsewhere. It wouldn't surprise me to learn that Bama does the exact same thing. It's a good tactic and sometimes it does work out.

Now that Robinson, Sims, and Clark are all on board, I think we have a better than 50/50 shot. That's just a hunch though.

What is the deal with Ohio State obsessing over Alabama lately?

from the Thursday article

quote:

And let’s not forget, Ohio State beat Alabama for five-star safety prospect Vonn Bell on National Signing Day in February, a recruiting victory Meyer said was won because of a relentless and vastly time-consuming approach by assistant Everett Withers.

Marcelys is a guy that Bone mentions every week in his chat. Might not happen but could be someone to keep an eye on.

I just read those articles. Good lord they're obsessing. What is the deal? It is not like they haven't had tons of success since 2001.

They think because they hired Meyer they are on our level. The amount of delusion up here is pretty funny. Gonna be great when Michigan beats them this year.
