His coach who is a former Auburn player said all the right things about not influencing where he goes but I have my doubts

Jenkins wasn't "going to UGA from the jump". I'm close with a couple of his family members, it was Bama for a LONG time.

If LSU loses today and State goes on to win the CWS, do you think the LSU fans will spout that stupid "Winning the conference is more important than a national title" bullshite like they did to us in 2011?

I'm giddy with anticipation to read the tiger rant if they lose

If they lose? You mean they haven't already won it?
I could have sworn they did with all those victory threads they were posting. I wonder if they lose Will they still think they are better than us at Baseball then we are at Football?

What does the report on BOL say about the recruits reaction to Cornwell commiting
Posted on 6/18/13 at 5:47 pm to A-TOWNUAFAN
Targets
Cameron Robinson, OT, West Monroe (La.)- "That's a huge commitment for them because he's a great quarterback. He's a big, big kid. He probably has the best arm that I've seen in person from a high school quarterback.
"I actually watched the private workout they gave him. He has a huge, big-time arm. I thought that was a big commitment for Alabama. Just off his talent and game, I think that will help them recruit some other players."
Cameron Sims, WR, Monroe (La.) Ouachita Parish- “It’s real nice to know that they’re going to have a good QB for my class. It increases my chances of going there because I wouldn’t have to worry about a QB.”
Ronnie Clark, S/ATH, Calera (Ala.)-“I think it’s great. The guy has a tremendous arm.”
Matt Elam, DT, Elizabethtown (Ky.) John Hardin- “I think that's great. They need great QB’s to carry the tradition there.”
Commits
Shaun Hamilton, LB, Montgomery (Ala.) Carver- “Real excited. He’s a great QB, saw him at camp.”
Deionte Thompson, S, Orange (Texas) West Orange (2015)- “Great pickup for us, he is a complete beast and we have two great classes in the making! Many more championships to come!”
Bo Scarbrough, ATH, Tuscaloosa (Ala.) Tuscaloosa County- “I think that’s a great thing for our class. As long as we commit other players like him, it’s going to be a great 2014 class.”
Mekhi Brown, OLB, Columbus (Ga.) Carver (2015)- “I think he is a great QB for his class. He will be part of an awesome tradition and I’m glad he’s part of the Alabama family.”
Stephen Roberts, CB, Opelika (Ala.)- “That’s great. I’m glad he came on.”
Kalvaraz Bessent, CB, Kingsland (Ga.) Camden County- “I met a couple (commits) for the first time when I went up there. He was at the camp, but I don’t think he participated that day. I’ve seen his highlights and think he’s a great quarterback.”

My info came from an AAU Bball coach(played w/ him in middle/high school) who coached a UGA commit/signee who helped recruited JJ that year. I asked him specifically about JJ before the season where he was leaning, he told me it's a done deal to UGA. I asked him two times more, one during the season, and one after. All the same answer. AAU coach was also partial to UA.

Are you from Hamilton? Harris Co.? If not, how would you be "close with a couple of his family members"? Are you a bagman or something? Maybe they were just stringing you along, I'd get your money back if I were you.

TheSystem is as credible as they come when it comes to info...

I'm sure. I was somewhat joking around(about him being a bagman), but genuinely curious if he's from the area, and how he knows them. I would like to know how he's close to that family in middle of nowhere GA(unless he's from/lives there).
Either the UGA recruit/signee that my friend coached was just full of false confidence that turned out to be true, or that JJ flipped at the last second. Assuming the TheSystem does in fact have a direct/close relationship I'm really curious as to what actually went down.
Not only to one up my buddy, but also curious as to what happened on Kirbys last visit.

Yep and the consensus seemed to be that we were the team to beat up until his mom made the comment about Ttown. I believe after NSD it was revealed that JJ preferred UF but caved to family pressure to sign with UGA. At any rate, I don't think it was a forgone conclusion he would sign with UGA especially with the number of elite in-state prospects that spurn them every year
Posted on 6/18/13 at 7:57 pm to sarc
I think the rumor was that he wanted UA and his parents wanted Florida. UGA was the compromise

I was always given the impression that it was flirting, both with UF, and especially UA.
As I mentioned before, I heard it was all UGA throughout the process, and he ended up signing with them.
I'm somewhat skeptical of "insiders" nowadays. From what I understand Saban has patched all leaks in the ship. Mainly insiders pop up because they have indirect/direct relationship w/ the recruit. The days of someone knowing everything is over. Pretty sure Saban waterboards them. The ones that claim that usually regurgitate info from the Bama sites.
I'll be completely clear on where I get info. I have a few friends involved with AAU Bball in GA, sometimes high profile football recruits go through their high profile AAU bball team. I also have a friend who coaches at Norcross. That's the extent of where my info comes from. That's it.
I would like to know how TheSystem knows the Jenkins family, even more what went down on JJ recruitment. Genuinely... not just for a message board dick measuring contest. Not saying he's wrong, just genuinely curious. Harris Co. is a very small place.
